COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

1. Office – Only the trainer can enter the show office. Trainers will collect checks and release forms from their clients, and they will bring them to the office and each barn will receive a packet with rider numbers, copies of courses, and schedules for clients. Trainer will also be responsible for closing client checks at the end of the show. Only 1 trainer will be allowed in the office at a time.

2. Show Services Office – Golf Carts, RV’s, Feed, Hay, Bedding – only 1 person will be allowed in the office at a time. Please have your reservation forms completed upon arrival.

3. Entries – The show may be restricted in the number of entries, so please send your entries in. To expedite check-in process, please scan and include Coggins and signed releases. No numbers will be released without check/payment, current Coggins and signed releases.

4. Spectators – limit of one spectator per rider. 5. Flat Classes – under saddle and equitation flat classes will be limited to 8 riders. In the event of a large

division, the first half of the division will flat prior to the second half and they will be pinned on the same judge’s card.

6. Schooling – Schooling breaks will be timed ticketed schooling. Max of 4 riders in the ring at a time. 7. Warm Up Rings – Warm-up rings will be monitored by schooling steward. There will be a dedicated flat

warm-up and jumping warm-up area and only riders/trainers for the rotating order of go will be allowed in the warm-up arena.

8. Bathrooms – please make sure to wash your hands with soap and water, use hand sanitizer before and after you enter the bathroom. Only 2 people allowed in bathrooms at one time. Bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized periodically; you may wish to bring your own sanitizing wipes/spray with you.

9. Parking – Each barn will receive a designated parking area. Please keep all your tents, set ups, cars etc in your designated area. No spectator set-up will be allowed at the arenas.

10. Gate Protocol – We will give each barn a schedule of their approximate rider times in order to keep the gate area clear.

11. Gate Keeper/Ribbons – we will have a ribbon station for collecting your ribbons with the results posted. Please maintain your distance when asking questions at the gate.

Guidelines

It is the responsibility of the show management, exhibitors, trainers & spectators to conduct themselves in a civilized & sportsmanlike manner & to be familiar with the DHJSC Rulebook.

All children must be accompanied/supervised by an adult.

Excessive coaching by trainers, parents, guardians or other riders from the in-gate is not permitted.

A $15 service fee may be applied to open checks not closed by the conclusion of the show.

Add back classes are calculated as follows: $110 x # of entries + total prize money. Prize money is distributed 30%, 22%, 16%, 14%, 10%, 8%. Minimum 6 entries. All add back classes are open.

Rules & Regulations

Stabling: $75/stall, shavings $10/bag (3 bag minimum, No Outside Shavings Allowed); $35 grounds fee for any horse not taking a stall. Early move-ins/Late move-outs (arriving before 10am Friday, July 10, departing after 8pm Sunday, July 12) $35/day.

Schooling: Schooling on Friday (NO EMT) – All rings, times to be determined. Saturday & Sunday – Daybreak – 7:45am.

Responsibility: Submission of entry to these shows constitutes an agreement to the following: Exhibitor agrees to indemnify & hold harmless Texas Rose Horse Park & DHJSC Officials against any claim, demands, costs & expenses, including reasonable attorney fees for the defense thereof, arising from the conduct or management of exhibitor’s business or its use of the premises. In case of any action or proceeding brought against TRHP & DHJSC management because of any such claim. Exhibitor, upon notice, covenants to defend such action or proceedings by council acceptable to owner. Exhibitor is responsible for his/her own property & TRHP & DHJSC Management is not responsible for accidents, fire or theft. It is the responsibility of the show management, exhibitors, trainers & spectators to conduct themselves in a civilized & sportsmanlike manner. It is the responsibility of all trainers & exhibitors to be familiar with the DHJSC rulebook.

Entries: There will be a post entry fee of $5/class if entered after July 9 at 6pm. Class fees are $15 unless otherwise noted. NO NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT AN OPEN CHECK. CURRENT COGGINS MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE HORSE SHOW OFFICE FOR ALL HORSES ON THE GROUNDS. A digital copy of the Coggins (PDF Preferred) may be emailed along with entries to speed check in. Please note barn affiliation, driver’s license number and date of birth on all checks. Please note barn affiliation on entries. Entries may be emailed to Amy Frenzel [email protected].

Fees & Refunds: $30 office/awards/EMT fee will be charged for every horse and rider combination. Once the show has started, proper notification of the scratch must be made in the show office BEFORE the start of the class or classes being scratched or else the class fee may be charged. Adds and scratches at the gate are not allowed; they must be done in the office first. Non-members will be charged a non-member fee of $30/show. A $15 service fee will be applied to open checks not closed by conclusion of the show.

Returned Checks: A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks.

Dogs: There will be NO DOGS on the property that are not attached by a leash to a person’s hand!!!

Attire: SEI APPROVED HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY ALL RIDERS WHILE MOUNTED. Riders must be properly attired – no chaps. Numbers must be worn and clearly visible.

Ribbons, Trophies and Championship: All classes receive a 1st place prize and 6 ribbons. All divisions will be awarded Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons using the standard tally system: 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1. In the event of a tie, management will break the tie by over fences points. Champion rosette and trophy will be awarded and Reserve Champion rosette. (Champion 10 points and Reserve 7 points).

Footing: Warm Up areas and competition arenas are all weather sand composite.

Changes: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes, alter courses and do all things necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. Divisions with less than 3 entries may be canceled.

Concessions: Concessions will be open: Friday 12pm-5pm, Saturday 7am – conclusion of show, Sunday 7am – conclusion of show.

$250 Low Jumper Classic

Class 117, entry fee $25 members, $50 non-members. Fence height: 3’0-3’3”. Low Jumper Classic open only to riders competing in Schooling or Low Jumpers. Order of go to be posted at 6 pm Saturday evening. Cutoff to enter or scratch is 6 pm Friday. Entries received after this point must go at the top of the order. Scratches received after this point will be charged for the class. To be held in Table II Sec 2b format. 8 entry minimum to run class.

1st - $70, 2nd - $50, 3rd - $40, 4th - $35, 5th - $30, 6th - $25

$100 Jumper Classic 2’3” Class 118, entry fee $25 members, $50 non-members. Fence height: 2’3”. Open only to riders competing is 2’3” Jumpers. Order of go to be posted at 6pm Saturday evening. Cutoff to enter or scratch is 6pm Friday. Entries received after this point must go at the top of the order. Scratches received after this point will be charged for the class. $250 Pony Hunter Derby

Class 113, entry fee $25 members, $50 non-members. Open only to junior riders and follows USHJA guidelines. Classic hunter course of at least 10 jumps including an in and out and a minimum of 3 option fences. 2nd round – Handy hunter course of top 12 ponies if available. 1 bonus point will be awarded for each option jump completed and in the 2nd round up to 10 points may be awarded for handiness. No schooling of the course is allowed. Ponies competing in this class may not cross enter into the $500 Texas Rose Horse Park Hunter Derby. Late entries will ride at the top of the order. Larges to run during TRHP Hunter Derby, but judged with small and medium ponies only. Smalls will jump 2’0” with 2’3” options. Mediums will jump 2’3” with 2’6” options. 3 sets of ribbons 1st-12th place will be awarded.

$500 Texas Rose Horse Park 2’6” Hunter Derby

Class 114, Entry fee $50 members, $100 non-members. Fence height 2’6” – 2’9” with 3’0” options. Open to all amateur, junior and professional riders. 1st round: classic hunter course of at least 10 jumps including and in and out and minimum of 3 option fences. 2nd round: Handy hunter course of the top 12 horses if available. 1 bonus point will be awarded for each option jump completed and in the 2nd round up to 10 points may be awarded for handiness. No schooling of the course is allowed. Late entries will ride at the top of the order. 30 minutes prior to the class entries may walk the course with horses in hand only. Ponies competing in this class may not cross enter into the $250 Pony Hunter Derby. 3 sets of ribbons 1st – 12th will be awarded.

1st - $150, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $85, 4th - $60, 5th - $55, 6th - $50

Jumper Medal - $15 per class

Two Jumper Medal classes will be held, to be divided between baby and puddle jumpers, and schooling through high jumpers. To be judged on the rider’s equitation style, technical merit, judgement, and execution of an efficient track. The judge wil l issue a numerical score based on the rider’s medal round. One point will be deducted for every second over time allowed (if posted) and four points will be deducted for each knockdown or refusal. At the year-end show the top six in each class will compete in a flat workoff. The points for placings from the year end show will double and be added to the current standings. In the case of a tie, the current standing points will have more weight than the year end points. Class 115 (Baby and Puddle Jumpers) Class 116 (schooling through high jumpers)

Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is

extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state,

and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many

locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse Park has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19;

however, TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse Park cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-

19. Further, attending the Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship Circuit Horse Show at TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse

Park could increase your risk and contracting COVID-19.

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I

may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending the Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship Circuit Horse Show

at TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse Park an that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness,

permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at

TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse Park may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others,

including, but not limited to officials, officers, directors, personnel and volunteers.

I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself

(including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense,

of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my attendance at TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse

Park or participation of the Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship Circuit Horse Show.

On my behalf, I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse Park, its officers,

directors, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or

expense of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims

based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of TRHP, LLC, dba Texas Rose Horse Park, its officers, officials,

directors, personnel, volunteers and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after

participation at the Dallas Hunter Jumper Scholarship Circuit Horse Show.
