The 2020 Kentucky Horse Shows will use the Show ManagementSystem™ On-Line Entry Platform to accept electronic entries for thecompetitions. This service is billed as part of your office fee and weencourage you to use the Show Management System platform. Exhibitorswill be able to enter the show electronically as well as view their billsonline. To submit entries or learn more about the electronic entryprocess, please visit

Thank you for taking the time to access the online prize list forthe Bluegrass Festival Horse Show, the KHJA Horse Show andthe USEF Junior Hunter Finals - East Coast.

At this point in time we are hoping to proceed as scheduled with ourshows. Entries and stall reservations both by mail and online areopen. PLEASE NOTE For a stall reservation to be accepted andprocessed, it must be accompanied by an actual horse entry.Tack stalls may be requested at 1 tack stall per 3 horses. Entriesand stall reservations may be secured online by credit card and bymail with a check. However, no credit cards will be charged and nochecks deposited until we are certain that the shows can be heldsafely. At that time all entries will be considered definite entries andwill become subject to the show policies regarding scratches asoutlined in the prize list.

We are in the process of developing protocols to ensure the safetyof everyone involved in the horse show environment once horseshows start again. These procedures will be arrived at with theguidance of state and local health authorities as well as USEF andwhen we have finalized them we will publish them. The driving forcefor all involved will be the health and safety of all exhibitors, theiremployees and show staff.

We will continue to monitor the Covid—19 situation and maintaincommunication with the Kentucky Horse Park, state and local healthofficials and USEF. Should we determine that the shows can’t be heldsafely we will notify all affected parties immediately. In the meantime,we will distribute any updates by email and social media. You canalso monitor our website at www.kentuckyhorseshows.com.

ENTRIESENTRIES CLOSE Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Post Entries will be accepted until 4:00 PM the day beforethe class(es) are held at regular cost plus a one time late charge of $50.00. Class declarations will beaccepted until 4:00 PM the day before the class(es) are held. Should the need arise Managementreserves the right to close entries to specific class(es)before the daily 4pm deadline. All horsesentered must be named on the entry blank including horses shown only in equitation where the rideris being judged.

Entries may be submitted electronically using Show Management System On-Line Entry Platform, visitentries.showmanagementsystem.com. A nonrefundable 3% convenience fee will be assessed for allcredit card charges.

Entry blanks will be accepted ONLY when signed by the owner, rider or handler AND trainer. Theymust be accompanied by a check or credit card authorization for stabling fees. Post entries willbe accepted as noted above, however, no stall will be reserved unless stall fees are paid by theclosing of entries. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN THE EVENT THE SUPPLY OF STALLS IS EXHAUSTED,PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE EXHIBITORS WHO ARE SHOWING AT BOTH SHOWS.ADDITIONALLY, AT THE BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL 75 STALLS WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR THOSECOMPETITORS WHO HAVE ENTERED THE USHJA INTERNATIONAL HUNTER DERBY FINALS AND200 STALLS WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR THOSE COMPETITORS WHO HAVE ENTERED THE USHJAGREEN HUNTER INCENTIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS BY THE CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES(JULY 22).AT THE KHJA HORSE SHOW 290 STALLS WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR THOSE COMPETITORS WHOHAVE ENTERED THE USEF JUNIOR HUNTER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BY THE CLOSING DATEOF ENTRIES(JULY 22). ONCE THE SUPPLY OF STALLS IS EXHAUSTED ADDITIONAL STABLINGREQUESTS WILL BE PLACED ON A WAIT LIST AND THE AFFECTED EXHIBITORS WILL BENOTIFIED. THE REMAINING AVAILABLE STALLS WILL BE ASSIGNED ON A “FIRST COME—FIRST SERVED” BASIS. Stalls may be reserved only by submission of completed entry forms alongwith payment. No reservations by telephone. Management reserves the right to charge a non-showing fee of $100 to any horse not accumulating entry fees of $100.

STABLINGPermanent stalls are of wood construction, 10 x 12 with doors and asphalt flooring. Temporarystalls of vinyl construction with asphalt flooring, 10 x 10 with doors and under canvas are availableafter supply of permanent stalls has been exhausted. The cost of stalls will be $300.00 for eachshow except that horses competing only in the Junior Hunter Finals who arrive on August 22 willbe subject to a stall fee of $150

Early stabling (before 8:00 am Monday, August 10) or late stabling (after 8:00 am Monday,August 24) must be arranged for through the Stable Office and will be billed at $50 perstall per day. Stable office (503) 510-8797. ANY STALLS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN VACATED BY8 AM ON MONDAY, AUGUST 24 WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ASSESSED A $50 PER DAY CHARGEBY THE KENTUCKY HORSE PARK. THIS CHARGE WILL NOT BE WAIVED UNDER ANY CIRCUM-STANCES AND WILL BE BILLED THROUGH THE SHOW OFFICE.

Sharps containers will be located in the barn area. It is required to use the sharp containers forneedles and disposable sharp instruments.

Passes must be obtained from the Parking Booth or Visitor Information Center upon entry for a feeof $5.00 per day or $15 per show. Horse trailer passes are required for all competitors showingout of their trailers and must be purchased through the show office for $30 per show. In addition,each horse will be assessed a $50 non stabling fee per show. All trailers must check in at theshow office and then park in the designated lot. NO PARKING is allowed in the barn area.

NIGHTWATCHAll horses occupying a stall, whether showing or not, are required to pay a one time per show nightwatchfee of $15. This service is NOT OPTIONAL. Horses will be checked 6 times each night beginning at7:00 pm on Monday, August 10 through 6:00 am Monday, August 24. Please provide emergencycontact name and cell phone or hotel room and phone number at the stable office upon arrival.

ADMINISTRATION FEEA nonrefundable administration fee of $60.00 per horse will be charged.

AMBULANCE FEEAn ambulance fee of $15 will be charged. This fee covers the cost of the medicalpersonnel, an ambulance and the horse ambulance.

REFUNDSNo Stall Fees or Administration Fees will be refunded after closing date of entries.A $60 scratch fee will be assessed on all horses scratched after the closing date of entries.Stall fees and administration fees are nonrefundable. Once the shows have started, horseswhich are not shown in classes which they have entered forfeit their entry fees, except ifa horse is injured or becomes ill prior to the class or classes entered. Proper notificationof the scratch must be made in the show office before the start of the class or classes thatare being scratched. This must be accompanied by a certificate from the official showveterinarian. In either case above the entry fees will be refunded less stall fee (ifapplicable), an administration fee of $60 and scratch fee of $60.

PLEASE TAKE NOTEA. Horses showing in classes in which they have not previously been entered will be

required to pay a double entry fee for those classes.B. A processing fee of $100.00 plus collection fees will be made for any nonnegotiable

checks or declined credit cards.C. Non-showing horses will be assessed a fee of $100.00 per week in addition to

stabling charges.D. A $50.00 non stabling fee will be charged to horses, whether showing or not, which

are not being billed for a stall on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park.E. A release form must be obtained from the show office before any animals or

equipment can be removed from the show grounds.F. Prize Money will be credited to each exhibitor’s account. Any credit due will be

mailed within 30 days following each show. No prize money will be mailed unlessowner’s (or other designated payee’s) social security number and complete addressare listed on the entry blank.

JUMP ORDERA rotating jumping order may be established and posted for all classes over fences.All horses must be ridden in the posted order. Riders or trainers who have conflictsdue to multiple entries in a class must see the starter so that necessary adjustmentscan be made.

ALL HUNTERSCourses will simulate fences found in the hunting field such as: brush, wall,in-and-out, oxers, post & rails, gate, aiken and panels.

In some classes the area of the Courtesy Circle may be restricted by a mandatory line.This line will be indicated on the course diagram and a corresponding barrier will beerected in the ring.

All classes will be judged on performance and soundness unless otherwise noted.Trophy and eight ribbons will be presented in each hunter class unless otherwise noted.

A Champion and Reserve Champion title will be awarded to two of the four horsesacquiring the most points over fences in each hunter section. In addition to thesepoints, only these four horses will receive full points for one under saddle class.

Full Championship points will be given in all classes in each hunter section, unlessotherwise noted.

MANAGEMENTManagement reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if number of entrieswarrant. Management reserves the right to refuse any entry. The Kentucky SummerHorse Shows, it’s officers, officials and employees will not be responsible for anyaccident or loss which may occur to an exhibitor, spectator, guest, rider, groom,attendant or other employee, animal or equipment at the show. THIS SHALL BE ACONDITION OF ENTRY TO THE SHOWS OR SHOW GROUNDS. Management reservesthe right to change scheduled class locations or start times for any reason, inclementweather, time constraints or any other reason management decides is best for thehorse’s well being and competition.

CREDENTIALSNO NUMBERS WILL BE RELEASED UNTIL PROPER CREDENTIALS AND ALLSIGNATURES ARE IN ORDER.

All exhibitors must have their current membership cards with them or a copy thereof,or send a copy of their card with their entry blank.

All exhibitors in the Pony and Junior Hunter sections must present their measurementcards at the office before numbers will be released. All Pony or Junior Hunters whodo not possess a current measurement card will be measured at a time and place tobe announced. PLEASE INCLUDE COPIES OF MEASUREMENT CARDS WITH ENTRIESTO FACILITATE PROCESSING.

All exhibitors in Amateur sections must present their amateur certification at the officebefore numbers will be released. PLEASE INCLUDE COPIES OF AMATEUR CARDSWITH ENTRIES TO FACILITATE PROCESSING.

COGGINS & HEALTH CERTIFICATESProof of negative Coggins Test within one year is required of every horse entering theKentucky Horse Park. Out of state horses must be accompanied by a currentCertificate of Veterinary inspection (within 30 days). Horses originating within thestate of Kentucky are now required to be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinaryinspection within 150 days. This paperwork must accompany all horses on arrival. Donot send with entries. SEE PAGE 7 FOR MORE INFORMATION.

CAMPGROUND RESERVATIONSCampground reservations may not be made through the Horse Show office.To reserve a campsite at the Kentucky Horse Park for any of the horse shows, pleasecall the Campground store at 800.370.6416 ext 4257 or (859) 259-4255 or emailRyan McGaughey at [email protected]. Be specific as to the show name andthe dates you wish to stay. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 12:00 noon.You must make arrangements with the Campground store if you plan to come earlierthan 2:00 p.m. or stay later than 12:00 noon. Vehicles will be towed that are notremoved from a campsite by check-out time.

KENTUCKY HORSE PARK REGULATIONS1. PARKING – Passes must be obtained from the Parking Booth or Visitor

2. CAMPER’S/R.V.’S/HORSE TRAILERS W/LIVING SPACE – Must go tocampground.

3. GOLF CARTS/MOPEDS ETC. – Please see page 7.4. DOGS – Must be on a leash (not to exceed 6 feet in length) or suitably restrained

in a tack stall/cage etc. Loose animals/ animals left in vehicles in distress, etc.can and will be removed from the grounds at the owner’s expense.

5. HORSE’S AND HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES – Have the right-of-way at all times.6. EXHIBITOR PROBLEMS/SPECIAL REQUESTS – All non-emergency problems

or special requests must be relayed through show management to ensureprompt attention.

7. PACKAGES/DELIVERIES – The Park is not responsible for any deliveries to anevent or event participant. Receiving party must be present when delivery isexpected. Please check with stable office for delivery address.

8. PARK ADMISSION – Reduced Horse Park admission is available to eventparticipants and must be obtained at the Visitor Information Center.

KENTUCKY HORSE PARK REGULATIONS 9. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

In compliance with the State of Kentucky Fire Code, the Kentucky Horse Park will nolonger allow any of the following in stalls, barns or tents. Non-complying equipment maybe confiscated.a) Any 2-prong plug appliances (fans, etc.)b) Any 2-prong plug extension cordsc) Light duty cords for indoor used) Any 3-way adaptors unless specifically for outdoor usee) Any adaptors without 3 prong connections

10. MOTORIZED VEHICLESOnly the following vehicles are approved for use on Kentucky Horse Park property: golfcarts, mopeds, JD Gators, Kawasaki Mules and similar utility vehicles (NO 4 WHEEL-ERS). Electric scooters & motorbikes & scooters with engine displacement 50 cc orless. Approved vehicles must not be operated in tourist areas of the Park & must beoperated by a licensed driver at least 16 years old. All vehicles operated after dark musthave a headlight & taillight. Use of unauthorized vehicles may result in a citation.

11. GOLF CARTSa) Exhibitors wishing to bring their private golf carts onto Kentucky Horse Park propertymust purchase a Golf Cart License.b) All drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.c) Golf carts are strictly prohibited in any tourist areas of the park.d) Golf carts must obey all traffic laws & posted speed limits and have

working headlights.e) Golf carts can be rented through Cunninghams (859-233-7921).

IMPORTANT EQUINE HEALTH INFORMATIONThe management of the Kentucky Horse Shows would like to make the following recommen-dations to all exhibitors who plan to travel to the Kentucky Horse Park for any events this year.Monitor our website at www.kentuckyhorseshows.com for any additional recommendations orrequirements. 1. The state of Kentucky requires that all horses entering the state provide a negative Coggins

test within one year of entry as well as a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (HealthCertificate) signed by a licensed veterinarian within 30 days of entry. Horses originatingwithin the state of Kentucky are required to have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspectionwithin 150 days. All horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentationof Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations withinsix months prior to entering the grounds and the date of vaccination must be noted on theCertificate of Veterinary Inspection or documented by means noted in USEF GR845.

2. To facilitate the inspection process by Kentucky Department of Agriculture personnel uponarrival this paperwork must accompany the horses upon arrival and be availablethroughout their stay.

3. It is recommended that all horses arrive between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. If it isabsolutely necessary to arrive at any other time you must call the Stable Office at least 24hours before arrival to make those arrangements. That telephone number is 503-510-8797.

4. Please take your horse’s temperature on a regular basis so as to establish a normaltemperature. If that temperature is elevated prior to shipping to Kentucky please consultyour veterinarian as to the advisability of shipping that horse.

5. Immediately upon arrival please take your horse’s temperature and if it is elevated consulta licensed veterinarian.

6. If your regular veterinarian is coming to the Kentucky Horse Park to treat your horse(s) heor she must register at the Stable office and receive guidelines for the reporting of anysuspicious occurrences.

7. Please be conscious of the need to exercise good hygiene and vigilance in the day to daycare of your animals.

JUMPER DIVISIONTo be eligible for the Jumper Division, horses must be nominated and the nominatingfee of $225 ($200 at KHJA) paid by the closing date of entries (June 23 or July 24). Horsesnominated after that date must pay a nominating fee of $250 ($225 at KHJA). Nominatedhorses are eligible to compete in the Open, Amateur Owner/Junior, Children’s and AdultJumper Sections; as well as in all Grands Prix, Jumper Classics, and special jumperclasses. Non-nominated horses are only eligible for Five, Six and Seven Year OldJumpers, Schooling, Training, Take 2 Thoroughbred, Pony, Low Children’s & Low AdultJumper Sections.

Horses must be declared for the class(es) of their choice PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF THESHOW OFFICE or BY 4:00 PM (whichever is earlier) the day BEFORE the class(es) are held.

HORSES ENTERED IN ANY JUMPER SECTION MUST BE RECORDED WITH THE UNITEDSTATES EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE JP 101.

To be eligible to participate in DJT horses must: 1) Have a foaling date during 2015 for 5-Year-Old Classes,2014for 6-Year-Old Classes, 2013 for 7-year-old classes. 2) All USEF members MUST be age-verified byUSEF prior to showing. 3) All Non USEF members must have a valid FEI or National Passport and presentto the show office, valid breed registration papers issued by an approved breed registry. 4) Must bemicrochipped. Adequan/USEF Junior HunterNational Championship – EastEntries for this championship close on July 22, 2020.

Junior Hunter Entries must be received by the close of entries.Late entries will be placed on a wait list in the order they are received.

Please refer to pages 1 - 6 for general show Rules and Regulations.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS • The horse must be actively recorded with the Federation and registered with

USHJA at the time of qualification and on or before the first day of theChampionship.

• The Owner of record of the horse must be an Active member in good standingof the Federation and USHJA, i.e. horses must be shown in accordance withGR1102 and GR1108 in order to be eligible to qualify.

• Horses must have a valid microchip and current USEF measurement card.

SECTIONSBoth the 3’3" and 3’6" sections are divided into Small and Large Junior Hunters andagain by age, riders 15 & Under and riders 16-17. The 3’3" section is open to any Juniorrider and horse combination not entered in any 3’6" section.

ELIGIBILITYIn order to compete in the Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship, thehorse must be recorded with the Federation and registered with USHJA on or beforethe first day of the competition. The owner must be an active member of theFederation and USHJA.

A maximum of 290 (120 3’6" and 170 3’3") horses will be accepted to compete,however USEF reserves the right to adjust this number to ensure fair andconsistent point qualification standards and a safe competition environment.The number of entries accepted per section will be determined based on thecurrent qualified numbers and past years’ entries.

Entries for the Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter National Championships will be acceptedbased on the following:

• Spaces will first be filled with horses that qualified by winning a championshipor reserve championship in an “A,” “AA,” “B,” or “C” rated Junior Hunter 3’3"or 3’6" section between June 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020, OR being in the top-10 on each of the USHJA Junior Hunter Zone standings for competitions witha start date of December 1, 2019, through May 31, 2020. Horses that arechampions in their respective sections at the previous year’s USEF JuniorHunter National Championships may return without qualifying.

• If there are still open spaces, additional horses not otherwise qualified may beeligible to compete in the national championship based on National Horse ofthe Year (HOTY) points in their respective sections. These horses shall beaccepted based on the National HOTY points earned by horses in their top 15competitions starting on or after June 1, 2019, through competitions startingon or before May 31, 2020. Points from both the younger and older JuniorHunter sections shall be counted.

PHASESThe competition will be conducted in three separate phases:

Under Saddle: To count 20%. To be shown at a walk, trot, and canter both waysof the ring. Horses are to hand gallop one direction, halt and back. Light contact withthe horse’s mouth is required. Judged on performance and soundness. Manners andsuitability shall be emphasized.

Classic Round: To count 40%. The course must maintain at least ten obstacles,have two changes of direction, and at least one combination. There shall be onesingle oxer on the course that shall be ridden at the gallop. Emphasis shall be placedon “brilliance” for this round.

Handy Hunter: To count 40%. Obstacles should simulate those found in trappyhunt country. The course must have at least two changes of direction and at least onecombination. Horses are required to trot over one fence on the course and may beasked to open a gate while mounted. Emphasis shall be places on “handiness” forthis round.

SCORINGUnder Saddle Phase: Horses shall be judged in groups of twelve or less. Each horseshall be judged and given a number score based on its performance.

Handy Hunter and Classic Round: Each entry will be given a numerical score basedon its performance. In both the classic and handy round, exhibitors will be eliminatedafter two cumulative refusals.

MISCELLANEOUSThe same junior exhibitor is required to show an entry in all phases of thecompetition. Per HU124.3, exhibitors will be eliminated after two cumulativerefusals.

Note: If a horse/rider combination does not complete a phase or is eliminatedfrom that phase, that horse will re-ceive a score of “0” for that phase but maycontinue on to compete in the remaining phases of the competition. A horsewith a total score of “0” for a phase is not eligible for an award for that phase butis eligible for an overall award.

JUDGINGAll three judges will judge each phase simultaneously but independently of eachother. Each judge will give every entry a score for each phase. Prior to the UnderSaddle and Handy Hunter, each entry’s score in the previous phase shall be totaledand announced. During the over fences phase, the Open Numerical Scoring Systemis used. After each entry completes the course each judge’s score for the round isimmediately shown or announced. The total overall score for each entry is thencalculated as soon as it has completed the last phase.

TIESTies will be broken based on the score of the judge that is designated as judgenumber one for each phase of the competition. If a ties still exists for the overallstandings, the score from the Classic Round will break such a tie.

COMPETITION SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS1. Horses competing in the Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship

are required to be stabled on the competition grounds beginning at 8:00 pmon Saturday, August 22 until that horse is finished competing in theChampionship.

2. Commencing 12 hours prior to the start of the Championship and continuinguntil through competing, only the competition rider may rider his/her entry.These riders must wear their competition number at all times anywhere on thegrounds while mounted.

3. The Official Schooling and Lungeing areas will be designates and locationsposted in the Show Office. Participants are restricted to schooling andlungeing only in the Official Areas.

4. The use of illegal and/or dangerous jumps, equipment, bamboo offsets andpoling is strictly prohibited.

5. Failure to comply with these rules will result in elimination if deemedappropriate by an appeals jury which will be compiled of one of thecompetition’s Federation Steward(s), a member of the Federation staff, andthe competition manager.

USHJA GLADSTONE CUP EQUITATION CLASSICpresented by Intermont Equestrian at Emory and Henry

QUALIFYINGThe ‘Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic’ (formerly Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic)may be held at either (or both) the East and West Coast USEF Junior Hunter NationalChampionships. It is open to any Junior rider that has won either a US Hunter SeatMedal, ASPCA Maclay, USEF Show Jumping Talent Search either phase of a WIHSEquitation class at a National or Premier competition, or an Overall winner of a WIHSEquitation class at a competition with a start date between June 1 and May 31 of thequalifying year. Riders must be an active USHJA junior member at the time ofcompetition in order to compete. Past winners of either the East or West USHJAGladstone Cup Equitation Classic are no longer eligible to compete in either finals.Competitors in either the East or West USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic are nolonger eligible to participate THIS Medal classes or Final.

COMPETITION FORMATClassic Phase: Riders to show over a classic hunter course of at least ten (10)

jumps. Scores to be announced.

Handy Phase: Riders to show over a handy hunter course of at least ten (10)jumps. Handiness and brilliance to be emphasized. The top (20) riders will return forthe Handy phase in reverse order based on the scores from Round 1. Scores to beannounced.

Final Phase: Based on the combined scores from Rounds 1 and 2 a minimum ofthe top four (4) and a maximum of the top ten (10) riders will be asked to switchhorses and jump a third course designed by the judges. The third course will usecomponents of the course from Round 1 and/or 2 with a maximum of eight (8) jumps.The jumps may not be changed in any way from Phase 1 and/or 2, and the riders maynot be asked to execute anything that they have not already executed on their ownhorse previously in this competition. Riders will switch as follows: riders one and two,riders three and four, riders five and six, et cetera. The riders will be asked to switchhorses in either the show arena or a secured schooling area with the help of oneassistant per rider. This assistant may not be the rider’s trainer. A schoolingsupervisor will oversee the switching of horses and subsequent schooling. Once theriders have switched horses they will line up at the direction of the judges and thecourse will be announced. As their numbers are called, in reverse order (lower tohigher combined scores from Phase 1 and Phase 2) the riders will be asked to do abrief flat, jump no more than two (2) schooling jumps and continue promptly to thefinal round course No trainer assistance will be allowed once the finalists have beenannounced. Number scores will be given, but not announced until the final awardsceremony.

COURSE REQUIREMENTSJumps to be set at 3’6 with at least ten (10) hunter type jumps including a minimumof two (2) jumps with no ground lines. A variety of jumps that will nicely challengethe riders are encouraged.

These riders must wear their competition number whenever mounted.Riders may change horses for the Gladstone Cup only in the case of illness or injuryto the declared horse, verification from the horse show veterinarian and approvalfrom the horse show committee.

JUDGING PROCEDURESTwo judges will be selected by the USHJA for each of the USHJA Gladstone CupEquitation Classics-East and West Coast. Both judges will sit together for the durationof the class and provide (1) numerical score for each competitor in each phase. Ridersto be judged on style and smoothness with an emphasis on hunter style of riding. Thescores from each phase will be combined for a final total score for each rider. The finalcombined scores from each rider will be used to determine placings. All ties will bebroken using the scores from Phase 1.

AWARDSThe previous year’s winner, if available, will be asked to assist in the presentation ofthe Top 10 ribbons. Ribbons will be awarded 1st-10th place with the presentation ofawards to be given in reverse order. The Overall Champion will be presented keepertrophy. Recognition will be given to the Trainer of the Overall Champion. Recognitionwill be given for the Best Equitation Horse. To be awarded to the horse deemed bythe judges to be the best and most suitable Equitation horse competing in theGladstone Cup.

UNITED STATES EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION“Every Class offered herein, which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current United StatesEquestrian rule book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.”

Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at RegularCompetitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined DrivingCompetitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and EnduranceRides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainerat Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions andCombined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the followingclasses are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions;3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR218)and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lessonprogram); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA EndorsedReining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes; 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English,of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 10) USEA beginner novicedivision; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

(the “Federation”) and thelocal rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation andof the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any questionarising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation,their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that Iam eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligibleas entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, theFederation and/or the competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cablecasts,broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during thecourse of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, orthe Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not beused in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waiveand release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasionof privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federationrules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against theFederation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4.

USEF MOTORIZED VEHICLE RULE - GR1301.7 & 8Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorizedvehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle ofany kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles,on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary licensemay operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by anadult with a valid driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entryblank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this ruleare solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation.Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the child committingthe offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilitiesare exempt from this rule. The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determinedby the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not require adriver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and singlewheeled scooters is prohibited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas wherepeople gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operatorof the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as aparent or guardian of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable andmay be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individualswith disabilities are exempt from this rule
