Please enter through the Check-in Trailer on Stuhr Road then proceed to Gate 9.

No exhibitor will be allowed in the barn before 7:00 am on Sunday, August 25th .

All Appaloosa Horses must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI).

All horses being exhibited at the Nebraska State Fair must meet all of the equine heath requirements prior to entering the Nebraska State Fairgrounds or at unloading time, which are found at the following link: 2019 Equine Information, Rules and Regulations. 1. All vehicles are required to park in places designated by the Fair Management. The Fair management assumes noobligation and no liability for any theft or damage that may occur to the vehicle or its contents. No vehicle will beallowed to park for the sole purpose of advertising.

2. Designated equine parking areas will require a permit to enter. This permit must be requested on the entry formand is for the sole use of the exhibitor.

1. The Nebraska State Fair General Information, Rules and Regulations apply to this and every department. Please refer to these sections. By submitting entry to the Nebraska State Fair, you agree to and will abide by these rules.

2. An open blank check will be required at the show office at check-in to cover added classes and will be returned at check-out if not classes were added.

For 2019, the Nebraska State Fair will be accepting online entries for the Appaloosa Horse Show. For information on entering go to: www.statefair.org. Click on the Competitions & Participate tab; Click GO under Competitions; Click GO under Equine Exhibitor; Scroll down to Equine Entry Books; Click on Appaloosa. Late entries will be accepted until the barn is full. A late fee of $50.00 per exhibitor will apply for all entries received after August 1, 2019.

1. The Appaloosa Horses will be stalled in the R Barn.

2. Stall assignments will be made by the Pinto Superintendent(s). In the case of a shortage, theSuperintendent(s) will have the right to reassign pens, tack pens, etc.

3. All horses occupying stalls must be pay a stall fee whether entered for competition and judged. Stallswill not be assigned or available unless stall fees are accompanied.

Due to requirements of the liability insurance carrier and policy of all major livestock shows, NO dogs are allowed on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds, in parking lots or in buildings other than those for direct competition or service animals. All dogs must be on a leash. There shall be no loose or unattended dogs on the fairgrounds. No dogs will be permitted in the animal barns, in tie outs or the Midway, except during authorized events and sanctioned dog shows. Dogs entered in Nebraska State Fair special performances or competitive events will be allowed on grounds or in buildings during performance or competition only.

All feed and bedding needs will be handled by Mid Nebraska Feeds, which is the local Purina dealer. Hay, bedding and /or feed will be available. You can pre-order by contacting them at 308-382-3048.

Premiums totaling $4,500.00 will be awarded.

Championship & Ribbons 1st through 6th place will be awarded.

Youth or Non-Pro Horsemanship, Showmanship, & Equitation Classes do not receive premium money.

Class Payback All Payback monies listed will be divided per judge

1st Place: $23.00 ($11.50/ $11.50) 2nd Place: $15.00 ($7.50 / $7.50) 3rd Place: $8.00 ($4.00 / $4.00)

*Required documentation for the Appaloosa Horse Show includes:

A copy (front and back) of each horses Registrations Papers.

A pending registration will be accepted only for foals of the current year if the breed association rule permits.

A copy of 2019 ApHC Membership cards for Owners, Riders, and Trainers.

Foals of current year must have registration papers.

1. By signing an entry form, the exhibitor agrees to abide by the Nebraska State Fair General Livestock Information,Rules and Regulations, the Equine Information, Rules and Regulations. The exhibitor also agrees to abide bythe IAFE National Code of Show Ring Ethics. To obtain a copy of the current ApHC rules, see the website:www.appaloosa.com.

2. The ApHC and Nebraska State Fair will not be responsible for any accident that may occur to or be caused byany horse exhibited at the show or for any article of any kind of nature that may be lost or destroyed or in anyway damaged.

3. All horses, including foal of current year, must have registration papers before showing.

4. An Opened Signed Blank Check made out to the Nebraska State Fair will be regarded to be left at the showoffice to cover added classes, the check will be returned at check-out if no classes are added.

5. Open, Non-Pro and Your national membership cards must be shown at the Horse Show Office when checking in.

6. Non-Pro entries must be register with the ApHC and have a Non-Pro Registration card.

7. Junior horses are 5 years and younger. Senior horses are 6 years and older.

8. Halter classes a Junior horse are 2 years and younger. Senior horse is 3 years and older.

9. Youth exhibitors shall be 18 and younger as of January 1 of 2019.

10. In Timed and Judged cattle classes will run once (once under both judges) and will pay one cattle charge.

11. Novice youth exhibitors shall have less than 20 national points in all youth classes as of January 1st of the currentyear, excluding Walk/Trot and Leadline points.

12. It shall take 3 or more entries to make a class. Management has the right to combine or cancel classes.

13. All game classes are one run for both judges.

14. The 3-minute gate rule will be enforced. Plan accordingly.
