Dogs

You know that the dog is a man’s best friend. The dog is

also man’s oldest friend.

More than ten thousand years ago, dogs didn’t live with

dog, Bruno, who saved 40 people in the mountains. Dogs

help geologists to find metals. They help police officers to

carry your bag when you do shopping, to help you with

your school-bag when you come home from school.

Dogs usually like to swim and you can teach you dog to

swim. But you must remember that some dogs are afraid

Have you ever had malaria? If you have,

the chances are that you got the disease in a

hot country. Malaria is one of the most common

infectious diseases and an enormous public

health problem. Malaria parasites are

transmitted by female mosquitoes. The

parasites multiply within red blood cells,

causing symptoms that include symptoms of

anaemia (light headedness, shortness of

breath, tachycardia etc.), as well as other

general symptoms such as fever, chills, nausea,

flu-like illness, and in severe cases, coma and

death. It is most common in tropical countries,

especially those with wet and humid climates,

where the mosquitoes that carry the disease

can flourish. Each year, it causes disease in

approximately 515 million people and kills

between one and three million people, the

majority of whom are young children in Sub-

Saharan Africa.

However, recently, malaria has become

more common in Canada. According to a recent

report, over 1000 people contracted the

disease in Canada in 1997, and the number has

been rising every year since 1994. This is an

alarming trend.

Have you ever had malaria? If you have,

the chances are that you got the disease in a

hot country. Malaria is one of the most common

infectious diseases and an enormous public

health problem. Malaria parasites are

transmitted by female mosquitoes. The

parasites multiply within red blood cells,

causing symptoms that include symptoms of

anaemia (light headedness, shortness of

breath, tachycardia etc.), as well as other

general symptoms such as fever, chills, nausea,

flu-like illness, and in severe cases, coma and

death. It is most common in tropical countries,

especially those with wet and humid climates,

where the mosquitoes that carry the disease

can flourish. Each year, it causes disease in

approximately 515 million people and kills

between one and three million people, the

majority of whom are young children in Sub-

Saharan Africa.

However, recently, malaria has become

more common in Canada. According to a recent

report, over 1000 people contracted the

disease in Canada in 1997, and the number has

been rising every year since 1994. This is an

alarming trend.

Why is the incidence of malaria rising

Martin Luther King, Jr., was a great man who worked for racial equality and civil rights in the United States of America. He was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. Martin had a brother, Alfred, and a sister, Christine. Both his father and grandfather were ministers. His mother was a schoolteacher who taught him how to read before he went to school.

Young Martin was an excellent student in school; he skipped grades in both elementary school and high school . He enjoyed reading books, singing, riding a bicycle, and playing football and baseball. Martin entered Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, when he was only 15 years old.

He decided to do to something to make the world a better and fairer place. After graduating from college and getting married to Coretta Scott, Dr. King became a minister and moved to Alabama.

During the 1950's, Dr. King became active in the movement for civil rights and racial equality. He participated in the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott with Rosa Parks and many other peaceful
