NovemberLeft-Overs
The rolling contours of an open field ramble here and there within the confines of wire fences or tree groves as windbreak.
This makes up an Iowan landscape where the beauty of a covered bridge is the needed “Watershed of the sky.”
Our curious selves wander to see cattle feeding on corn stalks; they appear as silent statues until each moves to look for better pastures to forage.
Just then we unlatch the fence gate that opens all we’ve seen and done at a time when winter’s hills were not much else but bleak and dry grasses!

Successful Book and Movie Sale
We would like to thank all of those involved in the recent Siouxland Center for Active Generations Library book, VHS and DVD sale. Our vol-unteers had the opportunity to sell extra items as well as duplicates. This helps to clear the Library shelves and make space for new donations. We thank Helen Eriksen for organiz-ing this two day event, as well as the numerous volunteers who helped her.
