TEAS V EXAMINATION FOR PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS

In compliance with the Chancellor’s Office, all Solano nursing applicants are required to take the “Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS V)” developed by the Assessment Technologies Institute. For admission to the SCC Registered Nursing Program, a minimum passing composite score of 62% is required within an applicant’s first two (2) attempts. The test will be administered at Solano Community College during the week of February 8, 2016, and applicants currently on the wait list will be invited to sit for the test at no charge. A very limited number of seats will be available for prospective applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis, and at no charge. Any prospective applicant who is interested in taking the test in February 2016 should send an email request to janet.schwartz@solano.edu by 3:00 pm, February 2, 2016, in order to be considered. Confirmation of receipt will not be sent. However, if space is available, the applicant will be contacted by February 5, 2016, so that the applicant is able register online for the test. Applicants unable to test at SCC in February 2016 may take do so at another location at their own expense.
