Girard College is a private boarding school for academ ically capable s tudents , grades 1 through 12, from fam ilie s with lim ited financial re sources , headed by a s ingle parent or guardian.

All Girard s tudents rece ive full scholarships to take part in the school’s s trong academ ic program , and to live safe ly on its enclosed 43-acre cam pus in the Philade lphia Art Museum area of the c ity.

Girard’s m iss ion is to prepare s tudents for advanced education and life as inform ed, e thical and productive c itizens through a rigorous educational program that prom otes inte llectual, soc ial and em otional growth.
