The structure of the MacTalk website I think is very well put together and it uses appropriate, reflective colour schemes such, along with symbolic features that helps to match the overall theme of the site. As a whole, I feel that the styles are very suited for the overall aim for the MacTalk website.

On the whole, I think that the main background of the site is very well integrated in terms of the texture and the representative features within the website where for example, it has its own unique quotation bubble which has been incorporated within the backdrop image for the interactive elements that is displayed at near the top-centre of the site.

The main colours and styles that have been used within the site are the following:

Pale Blue and White (Is mainly used within the background of the website content and the interactivity features as well as shown in the illustrative example above)

Darker Blue (Is utilised within the backdrop image of the navigation and text headings for the descriptions content throughout the site)

Black (Which is implemented within the headings, sub-headings and the general descriptive text as well)

White (On its own is a supplementary rollover effect for the certain interactive features such as, the extract of the navigation bar shown above)

The font is Arial which is at a 10 pt as illustrated below. The sizing of the other text content does vary throughout the site.

As a whole, I feel that the typography is fits in well for every webpage within the site however, the text could do with re-sizing slightly as this will help to make it more readable for the users viewing the site.

The logo graphic is functional within the site as it allows users to navigate back towards the homepage of the website where this enables direct access to the index page no matter what webpage they are on.

The advertising banners do alter depending on the certain products that have been promoted recently such as, iPhone 5. Another example will be an advertisement of the Fujitsu scanners in which this involves a state of animation where the latest features of the products are advertised. It also includes a glossy anime affect which has been applied towards the text caption called “Samurai of Scanners” and a zoom in effect which has been used for the following text caption: “Fujitsu” where this is an overlay for the previous caption as stated above.

The only main screen icons that are used within the website are Christmas hat and Quotation Bubble in which it uses icons externally within the site as well where it enables users to become socially interactive with the online news and general interaction with friends or relatives. It also shows additional icons where the 1st example of the screen printing of the advertising banner where this allows you to make purchase for the latest product advertised which is the iphone5. The 2nd example enables you to subscribe with what is called a blogger where this is used to submit any work or general email sent by registered members of the MacTalk website.

The main rollover effects that stand out within the site are the Mark Forums Read and the Latest Discussions where they subtly changes from a blue to a darker blue colour scheme.

There are animated GIF features that are included within the index webpage of the site where for instance, the news forum posts shows different characters in relation towards a certain user called Erwin as shown below. Another one could be the OS X Mountain Lion advertisement where it shows a very short piece of the state of animation between images and text in order to promote the image of the mountain lion for the Macintosh PC.

The navigation used within the website consists of insightful colour schemes where the normal blue colour within the backdrop image of the main navigation bar except from the 1st button which is the News changes to a darker blue colour and the white coloured text stays the same.
