We have worked at The Filaments in Wandsworth, London for two years. We designed the marketing suite, full apartment specification rolled out over the entire development including the penthouse specification and interiors for several show apartments.
Built on the site of an old lighting factory, the look is sleek and high-gloss with contemporary products. An upmarket design with personality, high-end finishes, bespoke touches and original artwork.
“This feature concentrates on the penthouse show apartment which was an ideal project for us” said Rebecca “we initially worked on the specification which is quite moody and masculine with rich tones of gloss black kitchen cabinetry, walnut flooring and a marble splash-back in the elegant kitchen. We then took this to the next level with the penthouse design by adding tones of leather and copper to enrich the palette.”
Throughout this captivating scheme silver, greys and coppers shimmer alongside a monochrome palette which delights in not being too co-ordinated. Further vibrancy has been added to the design through splashes of turquoise, orange, emerald green and navy.
The brief was to feature new and original items and includes leather Paulistano chairs, a Map Dress Artwork by Jennifer Collier and one of Jayoon Choi’s prints from Jealous Gallery, luxe, velvet scatter cushions by House of Hackney on the bespoke sofa, the vivacious orange of the ornate mirror on the opposite wall and of course the bespoke double-sided fireplace that stylishly warms both the living and dining rooms.
“This spacious apartment lends itself to the dynamic colour palette of coppers and moody greys with added navy’s, greens and bright splashes of vibrant colour. The ability to create a visual impact within the apartment is one of the aspects that has facilitated such an outstanding design” says Rebecca. “I love the richness of the end result.”

Our brief for this opulent three bed penthouse apartment was to provide a considered edge to the overall look, for a design that was extraordinary. Helen wanted to keep the feeling of luxury, whilst designing a slightly edgier interior with a selection of feature items to provide focal points within the space.
There are several pieces of furniture and items of exceptional interest within this design. For example, in the living room there is the statement, bespoke grey-velvet corner sofa. The low-back design of the sofa reduces the feel of what could have been a domineering piece of furniture in the open plan room. “We also opened up the corner of the sofa to provide a viewpoint through to the back of the room” says Helen.
In the stylish dining area, the dining chairs have been upholstered in a mix of fabrics to provide a unique effect: vintage black leather to the lower back, which is bisected by the ebony timber frame. The top of the back and the main seat are upholstered in a simple grey herringbone fabric. The two lights above the dining area are the ‘Non – Random’ pendants by Moooi, a design classic and a perfect addition to the space.
For Helen this design is successful as “all of the bespoke elements when combined achieve the right mix of classic and modern which add an interesting twist to the more typical penthouse interiors. The result is a luxe, considered and extraordinary design for this Aldgate penthouse.”

Our brief was to create a luxurious and sophisticated design for these two houses. Family homes that would appeal to affluent families, who either commute into London or are well established and enjoy the Cambridge lifestyle. The challenges were to make a large house feel like a welcoming home, with an exceptional wow factor. And to create a stylish design that reflected a lived-in family home.
It was important to define the functions of each floor in these homes. In the four bedroom house, one of the main features is on the ground floor, an open plan living space that houses the kitchen and dining area. The design seamlessly transitions from an open-plan family home to a formal entertainment space. This has been achieved by using a crisp white colour palette with tones of oak, taupe, grey and soft sage green. The colour palette in the dining area reflects the colours used in the kitchen and this continuation creates an elegant flow within the space.
The living rooms are both stylish and luxurious with personality and glamour that makes them eye-catching and memorable. Bespoke paintings that reflect local Cambridge life hang high on the walls. And a great deal of attention was paid to selecting accessories, which included sourcing sparkling wine from the Cambridge Champagne Company and a personalised satchel from the Cambridge Satchel Company. Contemporary lighting, bespoke furniture and a variety of textures and materials all combine to create elegant homes. The result, two houses that have brought to life the client’s brief.

Our brief was to produce an elegant and smart family home. Inspiration for the design was taken from both the location and nearby Botanical Gardens,
along with a nod to the classical and Roman influences of the area.
The sophisticated colour palette in this design comprises monochrome black and white, with a mustard yellow accent.
This design creates a striking and memorable impact by combining an impressive mix of classical, quirky and unexpected elements in the dressing such as the cat pillows in the living room. The rooms are generously proportioned with plenty of space and we wanted to retain that sense of space, and so placed an emphasis on light, and bright interiors dressed with attention to detail for this memorable and beautiful design.

We were chosen to provide the full interior specification for this development in East London. Our brief was to develop a specification that related to the ‘creative’ market that live and work in Clerkenwell. As the development is twenty-eight apartments in total it was felt that the design could be unique, to appeal to the aesthetically minded, who would be open to a more bespoke and individual approach. The lobby design reflects the development name, featuring a bespoke polished plaster wall with a relief pattern of the tree rings in text relating local history. The eye-catching floor design is made up of monochrome, graphic, decorative tiles and a magnificent wireframe chandelier hangs from the ceiling.
In the apartments Helen chose to use interesting materials and combine texture with some unique elements which create areas of interest. As such the specification design in the apartments, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms is an intriguing example of excellent design.

With the economy on the rise and the construction industry’s continued growth, such is the demand for property that many developers are able to sell future developments ‘off-plan’. In order to maximise their selling potential, they are utilising computer generated images or CGI’s. This is where we step in to the process. Using our extensive experience in the design industry, we have developed ‘Design for CGI’, a branch of our business that bridges the gap between developers who want up to date design and CGI companies with their technical prowess.
A specifically dedicated team create exceptional interior designs which then get used to put together the CGI’s. These CGI’s predict what the interior and exterior of the development will look like, enabling potential buyers to properly visualise what they have the opportunity to own.
“We’re thrilled that the company has taken this next logical step. Our role in the Design for CGI process is to create the design for each image. We specify the products that will comprise each visual. This design is then sent to a specialist CGI company, where the actual fly-through or individual stills are put together” says Rebecca.
“It’s wonderfully satisfying work where, as designers, we can be really creative. We take the clients brief and develop an outstanding interior design that better enables the client to sell their product. It’s incredibly rewarding” says Helen.
We very much look forward to growing this side of the business further. Current technology allows developers to create stylish and remarkable images that are so realistic they are barely distinguishable from the real thing.

The next eight pages look at the best of Flemings Mayfair: living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. We were commissioned to work on several designs for boutique Flemings Mayfair Hotel. The initial design was for seven different room designs that would
be rolled out over 55 rooms. From this we were appointed to create a complete re-design for several of the hotel’s apartments, encompassing everything from the interior fittings, bathrooms and kitchens to the fabrics and soft furnishings.
The brief: create stylish, luxurious and distinctive designs that reinforce the strong Flemings Mayfair brand, which is subtle but strong and always of the highest quality. This is echoed throughout all of the designs, which differ in each of the main hotel rooms. They’re durable and fun, luxurious, warm and quirky – creating a memorable moment every time anyone walks into a room, something special for everyone.
For the apartments: with the longer staying guest in mind, the design continues on from the themes of the rooms in the hotel, but with a more elegant and classical interpretation. The apartments range from one to two bedrooms and include a living room, kitchen and dining space as well as bathrooms and kitchens.

Marketing suites provide an environment in which to promote a product. It should be a space that enables clients to fully interact with both the merchandise, houses or apartments, and the sales staff. We are aware that when designing a marketing suite, function is as important as the aesthetic. It is imperative to ensure that all the work areas are sufficient for the amount of staff and the usage. It must be an ideal environment in which to promote a product. A successful marketing suite is created when the interior enhances and reflects the design aesthetic of the product.
LONDON SQUARE FULHAm – FULHAm Our brief was to create a luxury environment with a five-star hotel reception feel for this purpose built structure that will be used to sell 40 townhouses in the heart of Fulham, London. This bespoke design includes a large number of custom-made carpentry items, such as the impactful large walnut framed desk with a leather padded front. On this, the central leather panel has the developers logo stitched into it – a subtle and sophisticated branding of the site. This is further reinforced by the developer logoed wallpaper used on the back wall of the marketing suite. Behind the desk we created an area of interest by designing a large walnut frame which is filled with a mother of pearl mosaic tile. The tile has a reflective and luminescent quality which provides a dramatic backdrop to the reception area.
Upstairs there is a long specification wall to display all of the materials being used in the houses. We were aware that typically these areas can feel rather cold and technical but we decided to cover the whole wall in leather panels and embed the material boards within them. Additionally we also provided a seating area to soften the space.
The meeting room is glass sided to keep it feeling light and open. To provide privacy we designed a wall of walnut ‘fins’ which run down one side to separate the area off from the rest of the space. The ‘fins’ create sculptural interest in the space whilst cleverly performing a function of privacy.

THE FILAmENTS – WANDSWORTHWe were selected to design this marketing suite in Wandsworth, South London. The brief: appeal to young professionals, couples and/or friends sharing – something a little extraordinary with an aspirational air. It was important that the design accurately represented the quality product of all the apartments being sold from the marketing suite, 340 in total. As such, we chose bright and intriguing styling for the design with a bar/café style approach.
The Filaments was originally the location of an old lighting factory, reflected in the mix of fittings over the reception desk and the collection of flex and bulbs over the seating areas reflect this and create a distinctive atmosphere.
The colour palette is bright and vivacious with fresh and vibrant splashes of colour, set into a backdrop of a grounded, rich, darker palette, taken from the marketing material. The use of dark grey walls throughout provides a rich backdrop which off-sets the punchier colours in yellow, pink and powder blue.
This design includes a front desk that easily welcomes visitors, along with more intimate seating areas.
