Tana Slomowitz San Diego, California Tana is a South African-trained and registered clinical psychologist who has completed the Associate Coaching Course from the Centre for Coaching (GSB)/New Ventures West (USA). Tana has over 23 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in private practice, which she initially combined with corporate work. She was the founding member of the Core Vision Consultancy in South Africa and for the last twelve years has concentrated exclusively on work with international and local businesses as an OD specialist and Executive Coach and Diversity specialist. Her areas of focus include executive coaching, leadership development, facilitating executive teams, group facilitation, and change management. She is also accredited on various emotional and personality psychometric instruments. She moved to San Diego recently. Tana started her career as a clinical psychologist in private practice. In 1999 she developed, designed, and facilitated a two-year multicultural programme for Deloitte country-wide. She also counselled and coached many managers and partners there for 16 years. She designed, directed and facilitated the diversity management programmes at four Anglo-Coal collieries for Anglo American between 2001 and 2005. She has coached many senior managers, CEO’s and Management Committee members in various corporations globally. Her work has also included process groups with executive teams from many organzations. She has been a facilitator for the GIBS Leadership Development programme in South Africa for the last eight years. Tana co-founded The Core Vision Consultancy, which was chosen as the lead consultancy between two others to design and run a Personal Change and Diversity Programme for Anglo Platinum for their entire workforce of 56,000 people. This ran from early 2009, with 30 consultants. She has been on Investec’s preferred list of coaching providers for twelve years, and has coached many executives in the organization. Her international coaching clients have included American, Swiss, and German executives at Lonza, as well as executives in the local corporate sector. She has been the core facilitator and co-designer of the Leadership Development Programme and Career Development Programme for Lonza in Basel, Switzerland, which ran for over eight years, consisting of two three-day assessment centres a year and a company-wide tier two process. Tana was awarded the tender to conduct a company-wide diversity transformation program for Mckinsey in South Africa. Organizations with which she has worked over the last 12 years include RCI, MTN, the Johannesburg Bar, Transvaal Sugar, Investec, McKinsey, Bond Exchange, Time Quantam, Anglo Coal, Anglo Platinum, Deloitte, Societe Generale, Standard Bank, and Lonza and the Hobart Group, Intercare Solutions, and Life Technologies.
