•  Interna0onal  casebook  on  Advanced  Metering  Infrastructure  (AMI)  iden0fies  emerging  best  prac'ces  o  New  casebook  on  advanced  demand  management  to  be  released  at  CEM5  

•  Online  database  catalogues  smart  grid  ac'vi'es  underway  around  the  world  mapped  to  mo0va0ng  drivers.  

•  Monthly  webinars  highlight  lessons  learned  in  specific  projects.

TECHNICAL COOPERATION ISGAN  technical  coopera'on  iden'fies  core  transmission  and  distribu'on  system  needs  as  well  as  supports  joint  evalua'on  of  emerging  smart  grid  concepts  through  a  network  of  test  bed  and  research  facili'es.    

•  Technical  ac0vi0es  create  a  framework  for  

experts  to  share  emerging  best  prac'ces,  develop  and  share  new  test  methods  and  capabili0es,  and  enhance  lab  and  test  bed  performance  

•  Joint  evalua'on  of  advanced  PV  inverter  test  protocols  underway

ANNEX 5 SIRFN: WHAT IS IT? The Smart Grid International Research Facility Network (SIRFN, ISGAN Annex 5) is a coordinated network of Smart Grid research and test-bed facilities and selected projects in countries participating in ISGAN. SIRFN’s collaborative test and evaluation capabilities can be leveraged by the international community to enable improved design and implementation of smart grids.
