Introduction

The purpose of the thesis is to the immediate

purpose which is the primary scope of the project is

to try and understand the space of the blind . the

larger scope of the project is to question the

reluctance of the image that architecture creates.

which is

supposed to be a passive as well as active mode

of visual communication and the symptoms of

blindness are deep rated in the contradiction of the

visual world ‘Cinema for the blind’ does not aim to

solve the problem of blindness. but it merely aims to

solve the problem of blindness. but it merely aims to

address the current situation of our built

environment.



O JECTIVE

bringing in breath

An attempt has been made to create a pause in the

busy environment along the street.2nd establish

time in the otherwise fastidious routine life.

Clearing the site

There is a lot of potential to create a large space

for the public by relocating and reworking appropriate

functions at suitable places.

preserving the rang

The space must be made more readily available to the

people such that these spaces gain a true public character.

The reserved recreational Ground behind the imperial

cinema is one such land which needs to be opened up

to public.

SCOPE

Since in today’s scenario mostly in cities both the

parents are working and hence they don’t have

enough time to spend for their kids which hampers

their overall development.

Thus this thesis seeks to develop an institution that

would run as blind school and after the fixed school

teaching hours the kids would be engaged in

activities that would enhance their learning skills as

well as groom their overall tranning.

Such an institution would cater the needs of

attention and care of growing children in the

formative years.

Thus such an institution is the need of the hour as

the kids are the future and their development should

not be hindered in any case.



CONCLUSIONS

The cinema for the blind is an attempt to create a

structure of spatio-tempotal space which would offer

new experiences to the blind with every changing

story. It is supposed to be an experimental space

where one can understand more about how blind

think and aerate in their own mental space. it would

also allow the son sighted to make their

own stories. construct their mental spaces and

collaborate with people from all lied’s towards

making better environment for media and people.
