at least 50 games in a single season (1988-89, 1991-92, 1992-93, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2008-09 & 2009-10) after defeating the Bulls 99-94 on Easter Sunday (April 5). The 53 wins on the year was the sixth-most in team history.

ON TOP OF THE CENTRAL: Cleveland clinched the Central Division title for the fourth time in franchise history (1975-76, 2008-09, 2009-10,

2014-15) with a 104-99 win in Milwaukee on April 8, as well as the Eastern Conference’s No. 2 seed for the 2015 NBA Playoffs.

BLATT’S THE WAY I LIKE IT: Cavs Head Coach David Blatt finished with the best record for a first-year head coach in team history at 53-29 (.646).

The previous mark was Mike Brown’ 50-32 (.610) finish in his first year in 2005-06. Blatt is one of 22 coaches in league history to win 50 games in his first year as a head coach in the NBA, as well as the first coach in Cavs history to win the Central Division title in his first year at the helm. Coach Blatt was also named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month once this season for the month of March, becoming the fifth coach in team history to win the award (George Karl, Lenny Wilkens, Mike Fratello and Mike Brown). (Elias)

HUGE TURNAROUND: After beginning the season 19-20 through 39 games, the Cavaliers went an NBA-best 32-7 over the next 39

contests, outscoring their opponents by an average of 10.6 points. The box on the right compares the two periods:

• HIGH RANKS: During their 32-7 stretch from Jan. 15 – April 8, the Cavs ranked first in the NBA in winning percentage

(.821), first in points per game differential (+10.6), first in three-pointers made per game (11.8), third in field goal percentage (.470), fourth in three-point percentage (.382) and fourth in points per game (107.1). Defensively over that time, the Cavs were 10th in opponents field goal percentage (.438), fourth in opponents three-point percentage (.329) and fifth in opponents points per game (96.5).

• ROAD WARRIORS: The Cavs were tied for the NBA’s best road record during that stretch at 14-7 (.667). Cleveland would

go on to finish the regular season with a 22-19 record on the road, which was the fifth time in team history the Cavs finished with a record better than .500 on the road (1991-92, 1995-96, 2008-09, 2009-10).

• TAKING DOWN THE WILD WEST: Cleveland finished with an 18-12 record against the West this season, including an

NBA-best 14-1 mark against them since Jan. 15. Cleveland outscored the West by an average of 11.4 points over that stretch (109.9-98.5). From Jan. 15 – Feb. 26, the Cavs won 10 straight games over the West, their longest since an 11-game streak over the West from Nov. 3, 2008-Jan. 16, 2009. The team defeated 14 of 15 Western teams.

• 12-GAME WIN STREAK: The Cavs won 12 straight games from Jan. 15-Feb.5, which was their longest since a franchise

record-tying 13-game winning streak from Jan. 16-Feb. 11, 2010. The Cavs also had an eight-game winning streak earlier this season (Nov. 24-Dec. 9.).

• ON THE DEFENSE: From Jan. 19-Feb. 5, Cleveland held its foes to under 100 points and .440 shooting in 10 straight

games, which was the first time in franchise history that has happened.

HOME DOMINANCE: Cleveland won a season-high 18 straight games at Quicken Loans Arena from Jan. 19-April 5, outscoring

opponents by an average of 14.6 points (105.9-91.3). It was their third-longest home winning streak in team history. The Cavs also won by double figures in 14 of those 18 games at The Q. All 18 home opponents shot .450 or less from the field, while just one of their 18 home foes scored at least 100 points. The defense also held opponents to an average of 91.3 points on .405 shooting during those 18 straight home wins. The Cavs ended the season with a 31-10 (.756) record at The Q, which was the 10th time in Cavs history reaching 30 home wins, while also tying for the fifth-best home record in the NBA in 2014-15.

• HIGH Q RATING: At The Q this season, the Cavs went a perfect 23-0 when scoring at least 100 points (42-5 overall), a

perfect 14-0 when shooting .500 or better from the field (23-0 overall), a perfect 18-0 when shooting .400 or better from behind the arc (27-2 overall) and a perfect 7-0 when dishing out at least 30 assists (8-0 overall).

• Cleveland had a perfect 4-0 homestand from Jan. 19-25 when the Cavs won each contest by double figures. The only other time that Cleveland won by at least 10 points in each game of a homestand of four-or-more games was in the 1988-89 season, when the Cavaliers recorded double-digit margins of victory in six consecutive wins at home. (Elias)

• From Jan. 30-March 18, the Cavs won by double figures in nine straight home games, which tied the franchise record for most consecutive home wins by 10 or more points (11/13/2008-12/12/2008).

2014-15 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS TEAM NOTES (CONT.)

COMEBACK KINGS: The Cavs won 13 contests after overcoming a double-digit deficit this season (trailed by 12 pts vs. NOP on 11/10, 19 pts at BOS on 11/14, 11 pts vs. MIL 12/2, 11 pts at NYK on 12/4,

14 pts vs. TOR on 12/9, 11 pts vs. BKN on Dec. 19, 10 pts at ORL on 12/26, 11 pts at CHA on 1/2, 14 pts at DET on Feb. 24, 10 pts at SAS on 3/12, 13 pts vs. BKN on 3/18, 11 pts at MIL on 3/22, 15 pts vs. WAS on April 15). On Nov. 14, the Cavs overcame a season-high 17-point fourth quarter deficit by outscoring the Boston Celtics 38-20 in the final frame to pick up the 122-121 win on the road. The Cavs trailed by as many as 19 points in the period. The last time Cleveland overcame a fourth quarter deficit by that much was March 10, 2009 against the L.A. Clippers (19-point deficit).

LONG RANGE MARKSMEN: Since acquiring J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert in a three-team trade, the Cavs led the NBA in three-pointers made per

game at 11.6 (since Jan. 7). On the season, the Cavs had 38 games of at least 10 triples made, with 32 of those coming in the last 47 games of 2014-15.

• The Cavs averaged 10.1 three-pointers made per game in 2014-15 (4th in NBA), which shattered the previous franchise single-season record (8.0 in 2008-09). It is also the ninth-highest three-pointers made per game average in league history.

• The Wine and Gold also set a single season record for total threes with 826, surpassing the 2008-09 record of 656. They were just one of 13 teams in NBA history to reach 800 triples in a season. The team’s 826 triples in 2014-15 were the eighth-most all-time.

• The Cavs set franchise records for three-pointers made in a game (19 vs. ATL 11/15) and triples made in a game on the road (18 at ORL 3/15).

• Cleveland connected on at least 10 three-pointers in nine consecutive road games from March 1-25, their longest in franchise history. Also in March, the team set a franchise record for three-pointers made in a single month with 184 triples (12.3 per game).

RAINING THREES: In the Cavs’ win over Atlanta on Nov. 15, Cleveland had a record-setting night from the three-point line after shooting 19-31 (.613) from deep.

• The Wine and Gold set a franchise record (19) and tied a Quicken Loans Arena record (Orlando 19 triples, 12/28/10) for three-pointers in a game.

• The Cavs connected on their first 11 three-pointers, becoming the first NBA team to complete that feat since Detroit hit their first 11 triples at Denver on 3/21/2012. (Elias)

• The Cavaliers went 9-for-9 from three-point range in the first quarter, which are the most three-point field goals made without a miss for one team in one quarter since the NBA added the three-point shot in 1979-80. (Elias Sports Bureau)

• The Cavs’ .613 mark from the three-point line was a season-high.

• Eight Cavs players made at least one three-pointer.

• Four Cavs players made at least three three-pointers (James-4, Irving-4, Harris-4, Love-3), which was the first time that feat was accomplished by the Cavs since Jan. 1, 2012 vs. the Nets (Jamison-3, Irving-3, Gee-3, Gibson-5). (Elias Sports Bureau)

• Three Cavs players made at least four three-pointers, which was the first time that feat was accomplished in franchise history. (Elias Sports Bureau)

THREE-HEADED MONSTER: LeBron James (25.3), Kyrie Irving (21.7) and Kevin Love (16.4) were the highest scoring trio in the NBA at 63.4 points per game. They each scored at least 20

points in the same game eight times this season (7-1) and at least 15 or more points 25 times (21-4). - Since three-pointers became an official NBA stat in 1979-80, the 2014-15 Cavs were one of only two teams in league history with three players who tallied 1,200 points and 115 three-pointers in a single season, joining the 1995-96 Dallas Mavericks trio of Jim Jackson, George McCloud and Jason Kidd. - James (1,743), Irving (1,628) and Love (1,228) were the first Cavs trio to each score 1,200 points in a single season since 1992-93 (Brad Daugherty, Mark Price, Larry Nance).

TWO OF A KIND: Kyrie Irving and LeBron James each averaged at least 20.0 points and 5.0 assists per game this year, becoming

the fifth duo in NBA history to accomplish that feat. The two players scored at least 30 points each in the same game five times this season (at UTA 11/5, vs. NOP 11/10, at LAC 1/16, at DET 1/27 and at SAS 3/12). They also each had at least 32 points and six assists twice this season for the Cavaliers (11/10 vs. NOP & 1/27 at DET), who never had a game in which two players had at least 30 points and six assists in the same game prior to this season. In the 118-111 win over New Orleans on Nov. 10, Irving and James each posted a stat line of 32 points, nine assists and five rebounds, becoming just the third NBA duo since 1985-86 to accomplish that feat (Kendall Gill/Robert Pack of NJN on 1/13/97 & Michael Jordan/Scottie Pippen of CHI on 3/31/91).

LARGE MARGINS: The Cavs won by a margin of 25 or more points on nine occasions in 2014-15, setting a franchise record in that

category (previously was eight set during the 1988-89 season). Cleveland led the NBA in 30-point wins this season with six, which included several record-setting marks:

• GRINDHOUSE VICTORY: The Cavs beat Memphis, who entered the game with a 50-21 record, by a score of 111-89 on March 25. It was the largest margin of victory the Cavs have ever

produced on the road against a team that entered the outing at least 20 games over .500. The 22-point win also matches the biggest in team history over Memphis (3/14/07).

• BIGGEST WIN OVER DALLAS: On March 10 in Dallas, Cleveland defeated the Mavericks 127-94. The 33-point win was the Cavs’ largest in franchise history over the Mavericks. It was also

the Cavs’ first road win ever by more than 20 points against a team that entered the game at least 15 games over .500. Four Cavs players (James, Love, Irving, Smith) each scored at least 20 points and grabbed five or more rebounds, which Cleveland hadn't done since 1987 (John Bagley, Brad Daugherty, Ron Harper and John Williams). (Elias)

• KNOCKING OFF THE CELTS: On March 3, the Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 110-79. The 31-point win tied their largest margin of victory over the Celtics in franchise history (April 12,

2009). Boston was also outscored by at least 12 points in each of the first three periods of a game for the first time in Celtics’ history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Seven players scored in double figures for the Cavs, who held the Celtics to 79 points on an opponent season-low 31-88 (.352) shooting from the field. The Cavs also shot 14-14 from the free throw line, the first time going perfect from the charity stripe since Dec. 28, 2012 vs. Atlanta (14-14).

• LARGEST WIN AT THE Q: The Cavaliers earned their largest victory of the season after defeating the Charlotte Hornets by 39 points (129-90) on Jan. 23. Check out other marks the Cavs

accomplished that night courtesy of the Elias Sports Bureau:

- The 39-point margin of victory was the largest in the arena’s history with the previous high being a 38-point win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 30, 1994 (117-79).

- The last time the Cavs won by at least 39 points was on Jan. 15, 1994 in a 110-67 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Richfield Coliseum.

- Cleveland also set a Quicken Loans Arena record by scoring 129 points in regulation with the previous high mark being 127 (12/11/1999 vs. ATL & 11/15/2014 vs. ATL).

- The Cavs’ 35-point lead at halftime (75-40) against Charlotte became their new franchise record, besting the previous mark of 34 points during the first half against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 26, 2008 (66-32).

- Cleveland’s scored 75 points on 28-46 (.609) shooting from the field in the first half, including 7-11 (.636) from three-point range. The last time the Cavs scored at least 75 points in the

first half was against the Atlanta Hawks on Dec. 11, 1999. The Cavs had all 13 players that saw the floor make a field goal in the victory.

• SECOND LARGEST ROAD WIN: The Cavs came out of the All-Star break with a 127-89 win in Washington on Feb. 20. The 38-point win was the Cavs’ biggest road win against the Wizards,

the 2nd-largest margin of victory in a road game in franchise history (the Cavaliers won in Charlotte, 133-93, on Nov. 4, 1988,) and the second-largest home loss that the Wizards franchise has ever absorbed (When they were known as the Bullets, they once lost a home game by a 111-71 score to the Warriors on Nov. 22, 1975).

• MAGICAL ACT: The Wine and Gold defeated the Orlando Magic 106-74 on Nov. 24 at The Q. Cleveland’s 32-point win over Orlando was their biggest ever against Orlando (prev. +27 twice,

Feb. 23, 1990 and Dec. 4, 1996).

2014-15 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS TEAM NOTES (CONT.)

SEASON SWEEPS: The Cavs swept six opponents this season, which included Charlotte (3-0), L.A. Clippers (2-0), L.A. Lakers (2-0), Memphis (2-0), Minnesota (2-0) and Orlando (3-0). Cleveland won at

least one game against 28 of the 29 NBA teams in 2014-15, as well as 2-1 and 3-1 series victories over Brooklyn (3-1), Chicago (3-1), Detroit (3-1), Milwaukee (3-1), New York (2-1), Toronto (3-1) and Washington (3-1).

STRONG OFFENSE: During the regular season, the Cavs ranked among the NBA’s Top 10 in three-point percentage (5th, .367), points per game (8th, 103.1) and field goal percentage (8th, .458).

• REACHING 100: When scoring 100 points or more this season, the Cavs were 42-5 overall. The Wine and Gold hit the century mark in scoring in eight straight games from Jan. 13 to Jan. 27,

which was the first time that happened since April 2-21, 1993 (11 games). The Cavs won 28 of their last 29 games when scoring at least 100 points. Cleveland was also a perfect 23-0 when shooting .500 or better from the field.

• The Cavs were even better when scoring at least 102 points this season, as they held an NBA-best 40-2 (.952) mark based on winning percentage.

• The Cavs have had each of their five starters score in double figures 13 times this season (12-1), the most since 1993-94 (17 times).

• A PERFECT DISH: Cleveland dished out at least 30 assists eight times in 2014-15 (8-0). In a 113-93 win over the Miami Heat on Feb. 11, the Cavs had 32 assists on 43 field goals. In the previous

game, a 120-105 win over the Lakers, the Cavs had 31 assists on 45 field goals. The last time the Cavs had 30 or more assists in back-to-back games was Dec. 11-14, 1999 (vs. ATL-33, vs. BOS-34).

• SCORING SPREAD: In a wire-to-wire 108-94 win over the Chicago Bulls on MLK Day at The Q (Jan. 19), all five players in the Cavs' starting lineup scored at least 15 points: James (26), Smith

(20), Irving (18), Love (16) and Mozgov (15). It was the first time in almost 22 years that the starting five for the Cavs al l scored at least 15 points in the same game. The last such instance was on March 16, 1993 against the 76ers: Mark Price (20 points), Gerald Wilkins (19), Larry Nance (19),Brad Daugherty (19) and Craig Ehlo (16). In the very next game, a 106-92 victory against Utah on Jan. 21, all five starters once again scored at least 15 points (James-26, Love-19, Irving-18, Mozgov-16, Smith-15), marking the first time in franchise history that’s happened in back-to-back games. No NBA team had done this since the L.A. Clippers on December 17 & 19, 2008. Nearly two months later, the Cavs had five players scored at least 17 points in a win in Dallas on March 10 (James-27, Irving-22, Love-21, Smith-21, Mozgov-17), the first time reaching that mark since Jan. 15, 1993 at Indiana (Price-23, Nance-24, Ehlo-22, Daugherty-25, Battle-17). (Elias)

• The Cavs were also 4-0 this season when seven players score at least 10 points (3/18 vs. BKN, 3/3 vs. BOS, 2/11 vs. MIA and 11/7 at DEN).

• CAVS TRIO SCORES 26: In the 111-108 win over Milwaukee on Dec. 2, the Wine and Gold had three players score 26 points or more (Irving-28, Love-27 and James-26). The last time that

feat was accomplished in a single game was Dec. 29, 2006 when James (32), Donyell Marshall (29) and Larry Hughes (26) each scored more than 26 in a 109-99 victory at home, which was also against the Bucks. (Elias)

• EXPLOSIVE OUTPUT: Cleveland scored at least 123 points in three straight road games from March 10-15, averaging 126.0 points on .524 shooting from the field in wins over Dallas (3/10), San

Antonio (3/12) and Orlando (3/15). The last time the Cavs scored 123 points in three straight outings was Jan. 15-20, 1993. But it was the first time in team history that Cleveland has put up 123 or more points on the road in three consecutive games. The last NBA team to top 123 points in three straight road contests was Golden State in March-April 1995. (Elias)

• BLACKJACK: The Cavaliers scored the first 21 points of their 97-88 win over Charlotte on Dec. 15. The last NBA team to score at least the first 21 points of a game was Portland, who opened up a

22-0 lead against Boston on February 21, 2004. (Elias Sports Bureau)

• A BUNCH OF FIVES: Against the Hawks on Nov. 15, Cleveland dished out a season-high 39 assists, which were two shy of tying the Quicken Loans Arena record (41 vs. Detroit on 4/9/14). Five

Cavs players dished out at least five or more assists (Waiters-8, James-7, Irving-5, Love-5, Varejao-5). The last time a Cavaliers squad was able to accomplish that was on Jan. 4, 1997 vs. Indiana (Bob Sura-7, Bobby Phills-5, Chris Mills-5, Danny Ferry-5, Terrell Brandon-5). (Elias Sports Bureau)

• STRONG AT THE FOUL LINE: At Utah on Nov. 5, Cleveland shot 34-40 (.850) from the free throw line, which was its highest percentage with at least 34 made free throws since Nov. 30, 2005

vs. L.A. Clippers (40-47, .851). Also against Utah, LeBron James (12-12 FTs), Kevin Love (9-11 FTs) and Kyrie Irving (8-10 FTs) became the first trio of Cavs players to have at least 10 free throw attempts in the same game since Feb. 15, 2007 vs. L.A. Lakers (LeBron James, Larry Hughes and Eric Snow). (Elias Sports Bureau)

• LEADING THE WAY OVER L.A.: In a 120-105 win over the Lakers on Feb. 8, Kyrie Irving (28 pts/10 asts), Kevin Love (32 pts/10 rebs) and LeBron James (22 pts/10 rebs) became the first Cavs

trio to record double-double with at least 20 points in over 10 years. The last time was Dec. 5, 2004 against Toronto (James, Ilgauskas and Gooden).

• GLASS CLEANERS: In the Cavs’ first ever win at the Barclays Center on Dec. 8, the Cavs outrebounded the Nets by 22 (55-33), their largest margin on the glass since Feb. 28, 2014 vs. Utah (+25,

56-31). Three Cavaliers pulled down at least 12 rebounds in the win (Love-14, Varejao-14, Thompson-12), which was the first time that has happened since Jan. 3, 1984 against Milwaukee (Jeff Cook-12, Paul Thompson-13, Lonnie Shelton-12). Thompson (8 offensive) and Varejao (7 offensive) became the first pair of Cavs to pull down at least seven offensive boards in a game since Nov. 7, 2006 vs. Atlanta (Zydrunas Ilgauskas-7, Drew Gooden-7). (Elias Sports Bureau)

BIG ADDITIONS: In his first season as a Cavalier, Kevin Love posted a team-high 38 double-doubles (tied-10th in NBA) and averaged 16.4 points

and 9.7 rebounds (12th in NBA) in 33.8 minutes per game. He also ranked 5th in defensive rebounds per game at 7.9 and was the only NBA player in 2014-15 to make at least 50 three-pointers, while averaging at least 9.0 rebounds. Love hit 144 triples this season. The next closest player who averaged at least 9.0 rebounds was Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge with 37 three-pointers. The Cavs had several other key acquisitions who made huge impacts in 2014-15:

• J.R. SMITH: In 46 games (45 starts) with Cleveland, J.R. Smith made three or more three-pointers 23 times and averaged 12.7 points,

including a .390 clip from beyond the arc, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.8 minutes per game. He had at least one three-pointer in 38 of those 46 contests with the Cavs. Smith also has hit a season-high eight three-pointers a Cavaliers-record three times this season (at PHX 1/13, vs. CHI 4/5 & vs. DET 4/13). He has 13 games with at least eight three-pointers, which is the most in NBA history. He is also the first Cavs player to record three games with eight triples in a single season.

• TIMOFEY MOZGOV: After acquiring Timofey Mozgov, the Cavs went 34-12, including 20-1 at The Q. Overall, Mozgov appeared in

2014-15 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS TEAM NOTES (CONT.)

TOTAL IMPACT: LeBron James was the only player in the NBA this season to shoot .480 or better from the field, while averaging at least

25.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists. He was the top scorer in the Eastern Conference (25.3, 3rd in NBA) and ranked second in the East in assists per game (7.4, 7th in NBA). James had 14 games of 10+ assists this season (22 double-doubles & two triple-doubles).

• THE CLOSER: James averaged 7.1 points in the fourth quarter, which ranked second in the NBA. He scored at least 10 points in

the final frame a team-high 16 times this season.

• GREAT SHOW ON THE ROAD: James ranked third in the NBA in points per game on the road (27.2).

• TOP 20 SCORER ALL-TIME: James ended the regular season with 24,913 career points. Throughout 2014-15, he surpassed

several of the NBA’s top all-time leading scorers, including Patrick Ewing (24,815), Ray Allen (24,505), Allen Iverson (24,368), Charles Barkley (23,757), Robert Parish (23,334), Vince Carter (current player) and Adrian Dantley (23,177).

• THE PRICE IS RIGHT: With his first assist against Dallas on March 10, LeBron James passed Mark Price (4,206) for first place

on the Cavs’ all-time assists list. James also surpassed Price earlier this season as the franchise’s leader in three-point field goals made with his first triple, his 803rd as a Cavalier, on Dec. 12 against New Orleans. James is one of only eight players to lead a franchise in points, assists and steals, joining Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves), Michael Jordan (Bulls), Reggie Miller (Pacers), Gary Payton (SuperSonics/Thunder), Randy Smith (Clippers), Isiah Thomas (Pistons) and Dwyane Wade (Heat). (Elias Sports Bureau)

• BEST PASSING FORWARD EVER?: In the Cavs’ road win in Detroit on Feb. 24, LeBron James recorded his 16th double-double of the season

with 19 points and a game-high 11 assists, while adding seven rebounds, three steals and one block in 39 minutes. With his fifth assist on the day, James passed Scottie Pippen (6,135) for the NBA’s all-time leader in assists for a forward and frontcourt player.

• HONORS FOR JAMES: James won the Kia NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month

award twice this season, increasing his NBA record total to 29 times winning the award.

James also won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award three times this season (Nov. 10-16, Nov. 24-30 & Jan. 19-25). His most recent one was the 48th time James has earned Player of the Week accolades in his career, the most in NBA history. It also marked the 29th time James has earned POW honors as a member of the Cavaliers.

• ALL-AROUND GAME: Despite missing 13 games this season, the 11-time NBA All-Star was one

of only three players in the NBA to tally 1,700 points, 500 assists, 400 rebounds and 100 steals (James Harden, Russell Westbrook) and ranked ninth in the league in plus/minus at +541.

KYRIE DOIN’ WORK: Kyrie Irving was the highest scoring point guard in the Eastern Conference and ranked third among all NBA point guards at

21.7 points per game (9th in NBA). He scored at least 20 points on 45 occasions, including 10 30-point outings and two 50-point nights. He also shot a career-high .415 from the three-point line, which ranked eighth in the NBA.

• From March 12-15, he shot .923 (12-13) from three, which was the 3rd-highest three-point shooting percentage (92%) over a span of two games in NBA history (min. 10 shots made), behind only Brent Price (10-10 from downtown over two games in January 1996) and Terry Mills (13-14 December 1996). Irving also made 11 straight three-pointers without a miss during that stretch, tying the franchise-record set by Delonte West (Jan. 9-Feb. 22, 2009).

• FOURTH-YOUNGEST: After playing for the 2015 Eastern Conference All-Star Team, Irving became the fourth-youngest player in NBA

history to be make three NBA All-Star Appearances (LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Isiah Thomas).

IRVING DROPS A DOUBLE-NICKLE: In a 99-94 home win over Portland on Jan. 28, Kyrie Irving recorded 55 points on 17-36 (.472) shooting from the field, a career-high 11-19 (.579) three-pointers,

a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line, four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 39 minutes. Below are other notables on Irving’s big night:

• Irving’s 55 points were the most points scored by a player at Quicken Loans Arena (prev. 54, Allen Iverson 1/6/01)

• Irving became the fifth-youngest player in the last 50 seasons to score 55 or more points in a game (22 years, 311 days). (NBA.com/stats)

• Irving’s 11 three-pointers set a new franchise record for the Cavs (prev. 10 by C.J. Miles on 1/7/14 vs. PHI) and was one shy of the NBA record of 12 (Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall)

• Irving is the second player in NBA history with at least 10 3FGM and 10 FTM in the same game (Joe Dumars). However, he is the only one to do so with at least 50 points in the same game.

• He scored the fourth-most points in a game for a player’s team with fewer than 100 points in NBA history (George Mikan-61 on 1/20/52, Michael Jordan-56 on 3/24/87, LeBron James-56 on 3/20/05) and became only the fourth NBA player to score 55 or more points in a game before turning 23 (Rick Barry, LeBron James and Brandon Jennings).

• Irving’s 17 three-pointers in back-to-back games (6 at DET 1/27/15 and 11 vs. POR 1/28/15) were the second-most in NBA history, behind Stephen Curry, who notched 18 three’s combined from Feb. 26-27, 2013.

• Irving’s 93 total points in a back-to-back set (1/27-28) is the most by any Cavalier in team history with the previous mark being held by LeBron James, who had 89 points in a back-to-back from March 5-6, 2008. His 93 points in two days were also the most over a 2-day span since Kobe Bryant scored 110 combined on 3/22/07 (60 pts) and 3/23/07 (50 pts). (Elias Sports Bureau)

CAN I GET AN ENCORE?: Kyrie Irving set a franchise record, career high and NBA season high with 57 points on 20-32 (.625) shooting, including a perfect 7-7 from the three-point line, 10-10 from the

foul line, three rebounds, five assists and four steals in 47 minutes during Cleveland’s 128-125 OT win at San Antonio on March 12. He also scored nine points in the final minute of regulation, including the game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer. He then tallied 11 more points in the extra frame. Check out some more notes from Elias below:

• It matched Purvis Short's 57 points for the 1983-84 Warriors for the most in a game against the Spurs.

• Irving’s 57 points matched the most in a game by a player who was perfect from three-point range. In 1983-84, Purvis Short had 57 points and shot 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.

• His 57 points were the most scored in a game against a defending champion since Wilt Chamberlain scored 62 against the Celtics during the 1961-62 season.

• He became the first player with multiple 55-point games in a season since Kobe Bryant had three for the 2006-07 Lakers.

• Irving joined LeBron James as the only players in Cavaliers history to record multiple 50-point games in a single season. Irving is the first to do so with two games of 55+ in a season.

• He was of three players with multiple 50-point games before turning 23 years old, joining Rick Barry and LeBron James.
