The America Wheat (Milal) Mission in Southern
California’s (DBA Milal Mission) foundation is built on
evangelism, service, and enlightenment. Our mission
is to help individuals with disabilities find peace
through faith and happiness in our heavenly father
Jesus Christ (evangelism), assist in overcoming
difficulties and burdens they may face by offering them
various help and services (service), and train them to
confidently step up to the world, break down prejudices
against individuals with disabilities, and bring
awareness to the society about being disabled
(enlightenment).
The first Milal Mission was established in Korea, 1979,
and soon Milal Mission began to spread across 28
countries including the United States, Canada, South
America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Russia, etc.
There are now more than 100 Milal Mission chapters
currently operating today.
The Milal Mission in Southern California was
established on January 1, 1997 to help dream
individuals with disabilities. It has been operating
through generous donations for our non-profit
organization. Not only are we actively supporting
individuals with disabilities of their financial needs
through our Milal Scholarship program but we have
become a firm advocates in society for individuals with
disabilities. Currently, the headquarters is located in
Orange County where we are working hard to assist
individuals with disabilities. Milal Mission in Southern
California serves and praises the Lord together, in our
5 Southern California locations with individuals with
disabilities, becoming one body in Christ.
Milal Mission in Southern California holds Tuesday/Thursday Worship Services, Class AGAPE (Free Saturday School for individuals with developmental disabilities; ages 5+), Milal (Wheat) Mission Scholarship Event, Milal Night (fundraising event for
Milal Scholarship), Camp AGAPE, Love Festival, and much much more.

1. VOLUNTEER—If you are in high school and
looking for opportunities to volunteer; commit
every Saturday (09:30AM—03:30PM) for at
least 6 months with the desire of assisting
individuals with developmental disabilities!
2. LUNCH and/or SNACKS—Stop by and provide
our program with delicious meals and snacks!
3. MONETARY—All offerings for Class AGAPE &
Camp AGAPE are used directly in program and
activity planning!
4. PRAYER—Our program is strongly based on
the prayers of our supporters. Take part of the
chain of prayers and witness the many
blessings!

Camp AGAPE is an annual two night three day summer
camp for individuals with developmental disabilities.
There are approximately 470 attendees; 170 individuals
with developmental disabilities, 230 typically developing
individuals (high school & young adult), and 70 staff
members with a participating fee of $180.
Camp AGAPE consists of various programs that allow
participants to experience social skills, independent
living skills, and be encouraged to step away from the
comfort of their own home and family. Programs include
but are not limited to: Praise & Worship, Group Games,
Mini Olympics, Arts & Crafts, Communion, Dance Party,
AGAPE Plaza, and Swimming.
Class AGAPE is a free Saturday class for
individuals with developmental disabilities at five
different locations: Orange County, Los Angeles, E.
Los Angeles, Irvine, and Torrance. A total of
approximately 300 – 100 students and 145 high
school volunteers, 25 young adult volunteers, and
30 teachers and staff members come together
every Saturday from 10 AM – 3 PM.
Activities such as Praise, Bible Study, Arts & Crafts,
Adapted Physical Education, Music, Games,
Independent Living Skills, etc. are goals set to:
1. Provide Opportunities for spiritual growth
2. Teaches individuals with developmental
disabilities to be independent
3. Help understand the society and develop a social
life
4. Help build up a valuable life
The classes are funded through Milal Mission,
organizations, and individual supporters.
