The beauty of the pro- gramme is that students don't have to go to the UK to get the degree. "Hence, it is cost and time effective. Students also have the option to do it part-time as we understand that there may be working adults who are interested to get the cov- eted qualification," he said. SUNWAY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE Group won't rest on ACCA laurels

THE Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is one of the largest professional accountancy bodies in the UK and is recognised worldwide for setting the standards for a professional accounting qualification.

In 1994, Sunway TES was incorporated as a subsidiary of Sunway College University (SyUC), offering professional accounting programmes.

Currently, it offers three programmes — ACCA, Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales ACA qualification (ICAEW).

Under the helm of executive director Teo Eee Sing, Sunway TES has been ranked as a key player among tuition providers of professional accounting courses.

" I wanted to provide education where students are marketable and can get a professional certificate through the fastest path," he said, adding that students could complete ACCA in two
