As we journey through Lent together

Here are a few options to help us grow in our faith:

Attending a daily Mass or two during the week is always a good practice. The schedule for that is as follows: Monday’s at 8:30 a.m. at St. Ambrose and 6:00 p.m. at St. Peter's; Tuesday’s at 9:00 a.m. at St. Peter's in the chapel and at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ambrose; Wednesday’s at 8:30am at St. Ambrose and 6:00 p.m. at St. Peter's; and Thursday's at 12:05pm at St. Peter's and 6:30pm at St. Ambrose.

The Stations of the Cross will be celebrated at St. Peter's on Monday's at 6:30 p.m. and at St. Ambrose on Tuesday's at 6:30 p.m. Adoration takes place at St. Peter's on Monday's from 5:00 p.m. to 5:50pm and at St. Ambrose on Thursday's from 5:30 p.m. to 6:20pm.

The key to receiving more of the Lord and the power of his life are to hunger for him, strive to obey his word, and simply ask for more. In every age, countless Christians can testify to having encountered Jesus in a new and powerful way, such that their lives changed dramatically. In Jerusalem, Saul had murder in his heart for Christians. Yet, by the time he arrived in Damascus, he was ready to become one of the boldest and most zealous Christians the world had known. What an extraordinary turn of events! Many like Saul, have been radically transformed and empowered for some role of service as part of the mission of the body of Christ. This power of the risen Lord is available to each of us. Let us ask him, even beg him, to touch us afresh so that we will be greatly changed. Jesus can do it.

My friends know that if we do nothing differently nothing is going to change. Please let us support one another in our journey so that as we gather to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus we will truly marvel at the great gift that has been given to us.

Addison County Right to Life will meet Monday, March 9, 7 PM at VALLEY BIBLE CHURCH, East Middlebury. Light refreshments. Visitors welcome. Info: 388-2898 and [email protected]

Save the date: Spring Fling will be on April 11th.
