Dear Family, Congratulations are well deserved to parishioners who last weekend purchased prayer pews for additional dedications and pledges to continue our restoration of our church; the back vestibule, staircase and bathrooms. All pews have been taken. Thanks be to God!
Congratulations to Music Director, Patti Johnson and the 31 students of our St. Dennis Jubilation Choir who after much practice and auditioning were invited to perform at Disney World in Florida in June! In the coming months the choir students and their families will be sponsoring several fundraisers to help defray the cost of the trip (housing, transportation and park tickets). I hope that you will be able to participate in one or more of their events, thank you for your support.
Finally, I want to thank all of those parishioners who promptly responded and purchased a $100 spring raffle ticket for our school. Tickets are available to purchase at the Scrip/Gift table in the Narthex after Masses and in the Parish Office. The early bird drawings will begin March 25 thru April 22. The final drawings, including the $10,000 grand prize, will be on April 26th. I celebrate our parish family. Your generosity continues to amaze me. I pray that God may pour out multiple blessings upon you and your family for your faithfulness and stewardship. In the Lord’s Love, Fr. Jim

The parable of the prodigal son tells of a parent's undying love and compassion for his son who sinned against heaven and earth. The season of Lent reminds us that God is waiting with open arms for us to come back to him. The forgiveness of God is truly a great gift!
“In the liturgy of the Church, it is principally his own Paschal mystery that Christ signifies and makes present. During his earthly life Jesus announced his Paschal mystery by his teaching and anticipated it by his actions. When his Hour comes, he lives out the unique event of history which does not pass away: Jesus dies, is buried,
rises from the dead, and is seated at the right hand of the Father ‘once for all.’ His Paschal mystery is a real event that occurred in our history, but it is unique: all other historical events happen once, and then they pass away, swallowed up in the past. The Paschal mystery of Christ, by contrast, cannot remain only in the past, because by his death he destroyed death, and all that Christ is—all that he did and suffered for all men—participates in the divine eternity, and so transcends all times while being made present in them all. The event of the Cross and Resurrec-tion abides and draws everything toward life.”
