Check Tyre Pressure As the outside temperature soars,

the air in your car's tyres expand. This is why you need to check the tyre condition and pressure for a safer ride and better fuel economy.

Tyres that are under-inflated or over-inflated can either generate too much heat or reduce the handling capacity of the car. This can result in blow-outs and punctures.

Keep a spare! Make sure the spare tyre is properly inflated and in good condition.

Change the Oil• Dirty oil with carbon and metal debris

can have a drastic impact on your car’s engine operation. This is why periodic maintenance, including oil and filter changes, is necessary.

• Inspection or replacement of the air cleaner and fuel filters should also be done intermittently to improve fuel economy.

Check Coolant and Radiator• If an engine is allowed to get too hot,

it can cause a number of internal problems. This is because the moving metal parts of your car can melt and fuse together due to overheating.

• To prevent this, it is important to change the coolant annually on most cars. This will prevent corrosion and keep the cooling system clean inside.

• To clean the radiator and remove the dirt and debris, use a soft brush and a garden hose.

Maintain the Air Conditioner• Before the summer is at its peak, it is

important to get the air conditioning system checked.

• Air conditioning malfunction can be caused by low level of refrigerant or the malfunctioning of the compressor.

• If the air conditioning system has an air filtration system, then get it checked to prevent water dripping from your car.
