• Not just Standard or Foundation classes

• Pupils are of different abilities
• Pupils have different abilities in different
subjects

Criteria for Subject Combination
Based on P4 performance in:

Science
Parental Choice
• School recommends a subject combination
• Parents have the option at the end of P4
Movement from P5 to P6
Fail all subjects in P5 –
Do 4 foundation subjects in P6
To do Higher Mother Tongue in P6 –
Pass Higher Mother Tongue in P5 and at least band 2 in Mother Tongue
• Be supportive of your child: value their effort and not results
alone
• Give positive reinforcement
• Help them manage their time: supervision on computer usage
• Balance and manage tuition homework, enrichment, CCA
• Set realistic goals for them: academic and personal goals
• Work closely with teachers: ensure your child attends remedial
sessions, supplementary
