CAPE/SHAWL
A category of men's and women'sclothing which derives its unique style

COWBOY/WESTERN
A tightly fitting laced or stiffened outerbodice or dress. Typically has someform of boning in the seams and

CORSET
A man's long-sleeved shirt with abutton front and collar, suitable for
wearing with a tie.
DRESS SHIRT
A style of waistline on a dress cut sothat the seam is positioned at the hips
rather than the waist
DROP WAIST
A style of waistline on a dress wherethe seam is located just below the
bust, giving a high-waistedappearance.
EMPIRE
A classic jacket made of denimmaterial with a collar as well as pocketson the chest and at the waist/hips. Stylecan be fastened in front with buttons,
snaps, or metal shank buttons.
JEAN JACKET

A style of top made from cut and sewknit fabric with set-in sleeves. Teeshistorically had short sleeves so theshirt formed the shape of a 'T' butnow refers to any cut & sew knit topwith sleeves and no front closure.
TEE
A top that reaches to at least the lowhip to as far down as the knee. Can beworn as a top with pants or leggingsbut sometimes worn as a short dress.
TUNIC
A type of coat typically characterized bycargo or large pockets at the chest
and/or hip. Also called a safari or cargocoat.
