Stepping Into Internship Program - Position Description The Australian Network on Disability’s Stepping Into program is a paid internship scheme that matches talented university students with disability with roles in leading Australian businesses. Position Title VIC Dept of Jobs, Precincts and Regions - Resources Branch Policy Support Intern Location Melbourne Position Duration Minimum of 152 hours Position Overview The Resources Branch develops policy, programs and regulation to enable investment and generate jobs through the sustainable development of the state's earth resources, including extractives, minerals and petroleum. The branch provides overarching policy and regulatory leadership and enforcement. Working with industry and communities to achieve economic outcomes is a key focus of the branch. This includes supporting investment in resources and low emission technologies that foster innovation, productivity, jobs and trade in the resources sector; strategic resource and related land use planning to identify new opportunities for Victoria; and transparent, consistent and timely regulatory processes that provide industry with confidence to invest and have regard to the needs of communities. Key Accountabilities Undertake specific project and research tasks to support delivery of policy and programs on earth resources. Position Overview

Key Accountabilities

Undertake specific project and research tasks to support delivery of policy and programs on earth resources.

Contribute to the preparation of high-quality briefings and correspondence for stakeholders and senior decision makers.

Assist in producing presentations and other communications.

Provide administrative support including organising and coordinating meetings, updating reports, databases and spreadsheets.

Ideal Degree/Discipline

Law, Economics, Environmental or other Social Sciences

Eligibility Requirements

Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree

Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and International students are welcome to apply
