2007.In2015hewasoneoffourfinalcandidatesconsideredfortheofficeofPresidingBishop.Our bishop now serves on the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church and our DiocesanTreasurer,CanonAnneVickers,isamemberoftheChurchPensionGroupBoard.DaySpring,abeautifully wooded 100-acre retreat and conference center is also the location of DiocesanHouse, the Office of the Bishop. Wehave had a successful thriftshopinthevillageofGulfportsince1976.Itisblessedwithmany donations andvolunteers serve Mondaythrough Saturday. Volunteers find the shop an effective outreach ministrywith person topersoncontactandinthefinancialgiftstheshopgivesyearlytoSeniorservicesinGulfportandotheroutreachprojects.HistorySt.Vincent'sbeganonJune12th,1955asamissionoftheEpiscopalChurch,DioceseofSouthFlorida.By1960wehadbecomeaparishandin1968builtthecurrentchurchbuildingwenowuse.TheParish has thrived from the beginning because it is known for the friendships made andopennessinthewelcomefeltbynewcomers.Theyearsbetween2003and2008weredifficultonesfortheParish.Itwassplitpainfullylosing

members and employeesas well. The coming of Fr. John Hartnett in September 2008, alongtimepriestoftheDioceseofSWFLAandfriendofmanyintheparish,beganahealingandbroughtnewlifeintothecongregation.Forthenext6yearswegrew,enjoyednewteachings,built fellowship,sharedministries,andcontinued outreach.However, one year ago, Fr. Hartnett was diagnosed with cancer. Theweeksandmonthswespentwithouthimasheunderwenthis treatmentswereverydifficultandpainfulnotonlytoFr.Hartnettandhisfamily,butforthecongregation.SupplypriestsfilledinduringthistimebutFr.Hartnett'sdeathinAugustwasashockthatsaddenedusall.OurLocation
St.Petersburg isacity inPinellasCounty,Florida,UnitedStates.Asofthe2014censusestimate,thepopulation was 253,693, making St. Petersburgthe5thmostpopulouscity inthestateofFloridaandthelargestcity inFloridathat isnotacountyseat. With an average of some 361 days ofsunshineeachyear,andaGuinnessWorldRecordforloggingthemostconsecutivedaysofsunshine(768 days), it is nicknamed "The Sunshine City".Duetoitsgoodweatherandlowcostofliving,the
cityhaslongbeenapopularretirementdestination,althoughinrecentyearsthepopulationhasmoved inamuchmoreyouthfuldirection.AmericanStylemagazine rankedSt.Petersburg itstopmid-sizecityin2011,citingits"vibrant"artsscene.[1)OurCampusOur property consists of 5 buildings on 5 acres: theChurch, a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home (formerRectorynow rented), a Parish Hall, anAdministrative Office,and a PreSchool (now rented). There is aMemorialGardenholdingover200soulswithastonealtarandcross.AnewSt.FrancisofAssissigardenforpetswasdedicated on November 29, 2015, inmemory of Fr.Hartnett's love of dogs. A large pondwith fountainand many beautiful trees enhance the look of theproperty.CongregationalLife
TherearetwoactiveBibleStudygroups.Onemeets Wednesday mornings following the10:00a.mhealing serviceandhasmet since1998.ThesecondgroupmeetsonceamonthfollowingabreakfastpreparedonthesecondSunday of each month by the men of theparish. Other small ministry groups meet

regularlyincludingCursillogrouping.WhileSundayisbusiest,withservicesat9:00a.m.,ourweekdaysoftenfindmembersoncampusforspecialservices,ourweeklyWonderfulWednesdaydinnersandeducationalprograms.Ourworship,teaching,healingandserviceministriessupportusaswecarryoutourmissionofcontinuingChrist’sministrytotheworld.WesharealoveoftheLordandHispeople.WebelieveGodusesusthroughoutourlivesandwewishtocontinueservingHim.
