Pick-a-dilly Craft Fair
This Saturday, Oct. 20, is the
Pick-a-dilly Craft Fair. We’ll
also have a silent auction and
a bake sale, all benefiting
missions.

The pumpkins have arrived and the Pumpkin Patch, which benefits our Student Minis-try mission in Jamaica, is open. Come pick out the perfect pumpkins for your home and take a few photos while you’re here. We still need volunteers to staff the Pump-kin Patch through Oct. 31. Please sign up at stpkaty.org/pumpkin-patch. If you have questions, contact Emily Parsons at [email protected].
It’s time for pumpkins
Dear Friends,There is a difference in just attending
church and being a true follower of Jesus Christ. I came across one writer’s descriptors in understanding what it means to fully follow Jesus.
The first descriptor is spectator. There were many spectators around Jesus because they were curious about what he had to say and offer. They were part of the crowds that Jesus encountered. Some were vocal in their expressed interest, but most of them prob-ably were not.
The second descriptor is seeker. Seek-ers appear in places like John 6 where Jesus raises the bar of commitment, which caused some of the spectators to bail. Seekers remained and were very interested in everything about Jesus.
The third descriptor is follower. This is where a line is crossed. This is where the acquisition of saving faith takes place.
The fourth descriptor is Kingdom builder. These are people who are more than just followers of Jesus. They become proactive. They make things, God things, happen.
Let’s be Kingdom builders. Let’s allow God to use us to offer God’s grace so that great things can happen for the Kingdom in the Katy/Fulshear area.
Blessings,
2
Are you a Kingdom builder?

Our Missions Ministry is sponsoring the 28th annual Pick-a-dilly Craft Fair Oct. 20 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. just in time for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas holidays. About 100 vendors bring home décor and holiday items, food, clothes, jewelry, and more to this event that benefits a variety of missions. There also will be a silent auction, bake sale, food, and the Student Ministry Pumpkin Patch. Admission is free.
One of my greatest loves is getting to visit
with people. For me, there really is no
better time spent than getting to check in
with people and share what new thing God is
doing in our lives.
In our continued effort to utilize the 9:15
to 10 a.m. time slot at the West Campus, we
are going to launch a new program to let me
do just that: hang out and get to know peo-
ple. The second Sunday of each month from
9:15–10
a.m., I will be hosting Coffee and Con-
versation With Alex (that’s me). This
gathering will allow us to use the time
we are already paying for to help cre-
ate space for people to get to know
each other.
So, if you are planning a visit to the
West Campus on the second Sunday of
the month, come a little early and hang out with me. I would love to get to
know you better!
