Email from parents: Being three eighths Welsh, Annie is proud to introduce you

to Dewi- The Red Dragon of Cadwallader also know as Y Ddraig Goch.

Bore da Dewi!

Da Iawn Annie!

Take care space, take care of each other I am busy working out how I can make opening our school the safest it can be for all children and the teachers/adults in school. If we do come back to school, it may feel different to what it was before with extra virus safety rules in place: I will need everyone to remember take care space, take care of each other which means everyone keeping a safe distance, washing hands more frequently and not being all together as large groups. Email from parents: For this week’s water

theme Evangeline enjoyed

listening to the story of The Rainbow Fish and then decorating her

own fish.

Well done Evangeline, that’s a beautiful

rainbow fish.

Email from parents: Flo has been learning to sew and made this

lovely hand puppet. We walked to

Gonalston to visit the fairy garden. Flo has been coming here

since she was tiny. She always takes a gift for the fairies and this time she took a pine

cone. We had a little science lesson on static electricity and the boys loved bouncing to try and make Flo’s hair stand on end. Flo

wasn’t as sure!

Well done Flo, what a pretty fairy garden. Clever sewing and cool science lesson!

Email from parents: Oliver and Josh have been very busy over the last

few weeks doing school work, creative projects, gardening, long

walks, bike rides and lots of playing in the garden. This week they both produced their own acrostic poem about Coronavirus. They came up

with lots of ideas and typed up their final version on the laptop.

They were both very pleased with their final poem.

Brilliant poems boys, well done! Love how you have used rainbow

colours and great clip art !

Email from parents: Toby has been learning about Chinese dragons.

That’s a fabulous dragon Toby, great take care colouring!

Miss Peckover’s challenge this week links to the theme of water. You

know how much she likes songs and music, how many song titles make

reference to water? (Rivers, seas, rain would count) For example: Bridge

Over Troubled Water. Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head. Rivers of

Babylon. Ask your parents and write a list OR even better, sing it, record it

and send it. Entertain me!

Archie’s Lockdown

Blog:

Mr Jennings is super impressed with Archie’s lockdown blog. You can see and read what he has been up to, please follow this link:

Email from parents: Matilda wanted me to share

with you her first acrylic painting that she has done of

a unicorn.

That is so pretty Matilda, well done! We hope you had fun painting it. Is it now hanging on a wall somewhere in your house? Or will it be a present

for someone? A lot of you may know Steve the

postman in East Bridgford. Well he was very happy this week to receive this

letter from Noah in Y6. Well done Noah you made Steve’s day!

So news catch up: Anya had slept in a tent in the garden and there was a storm she was also excited about getting a new bike, Jessica slept in the garden and it rained all night, Lily saw a stoat, Amelie got some new wireless headphones & Leila’s dog had a hair cut. Darcy’s cousin had a birthday virtual pub

crawl with mocktails which lasted 8 hours and had a Star Wars theme. The bathroom was Darth Vader, they had Sky Walker Lounge and the conservatory was the Millennium Falcon. Brilliant idea. Abi was dancing on the planet and told us she had a new laptop for her

birthday. Jessica dyed her hair blue and red for V.E Day and took cakes round where she lived for the elderly.

They had a street party and yesterday her dad had his hair cut! Annie saw a white dove on her drive and a

raven on her roof. Lily had skyped her Great Grandma and asked her about V E Day and typed it up. She then read

that out to us. We learnt some interesting facts. Lily also made a spitfire which made a

fly past! Some of the girls had worked out they could type little messages to each other on screen, so it was a very busy

Brownie meeting. Lots of fun.

So this week’s theme was to make a rainbow crown. As you can see we had some

great ones! Snowy’s background was guessed by

many this week. Snowy was in Hagrid’s garden, just in front of his hut! Lots of pets made an appearance this week and

a brother! We played a themed Kim’s game.
