CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS!

Each year, local K of C councils each select a per-son to honor at the annual Westchester-Putnam Awards Gala. Past honorees selected by the St. Columbanus Council of the Knights of Columbus include Frank Gaglione, Deacon John Coppola, John Bowdren, Father Frank Samoylo, and Bobby Sellazzo. This year we have chosen to honor Mary Gillick. Her many years of dedication and service to the parish are remarkable and she is certainly well-deserving of this honor. Please join the Knights in congratulating Mary on this award.

SECOND COLLECTION NEXT SUNDAY

There will be a second collection next Sunday for the Pastoral Solidarity Fund. Please be as generous as your means allow.

Some unique things that are going on you men may be interested in: St. Benedict Abbey in Still River, Massachusetts, where I go for my annual retreat, is hosting two events this sum-mer. One is a Monastic Weekend for Men, 18-30 years of age. Live the life of a monk for a weekend, August 11-13, 2017. Also, the Abbey is hosting their popular Father and Son (ages 14-18) Retreat on three occa-sions, Friday, July 14 to Sunday, July 16; Friday, July 21to Sunday, July 28; and Friday, July 21to Sunday, July 30. For either event visit the St. Benedict Abbey website at www.abbey.org, or contact Fr. Anthony Kloss, O.S.B. at: vocation.abbey.org or call978-877-3694. This is a great way for fathers and sons to grow closer together with each other and with the Lord. Our Bookkeeper/Secretary is no longer at St. Columbanus so we are looking for someone for this position. Computer and bookkeeping skills are needed. A knowledge of payroll and Connectnow/Parish Soft is a plus. This position may lead to full time employment. Please contact the rectory.
