Visa and Chexar introduced Spyke in Q4 2012, a consumer direct Good Funds networkwhich enables instant non-recourse prepaid card deposits from smart phones.

This model relieves the Visa card issuer from the responsibility associated with converting allchecks to Good Funds (validation, approval, guarantee, clearing and settlement, regulatoryoversight, risk/fraud losses and float expense)

The participating prepaid issuer in the Visa/Chexar mobile RDC solution receives irreversibleaccount funding in the form of Original Credit Transactions (OCTs)

Many prominent Visa financial institutions and program managers have readily embraced theVISA/Chexar Mobile RDC network solution and launched several pilot projects in the 4thquarter 2012.

Production will expand with a select group of program managers through Q1 2013, when theprogram will be made available to the general market.

Turnkey capability of the network allows partner to start early consumer adoption anddeployment in conjunction with the ability to migration Spyke functionality to the partnersMobile platform on their timeline.
