History
Fitness Sports Camp and Facility was founded in 1980 with the
same mission that defines it today. The camp is located in Bronx, New
York and is one of New York’s finest and most popular summer camps for
children. The camp started out as a place for children to play sports to
keep them busy, active, and productive during the summer. Fitness Sports
Camp quickly became popular and children from all over the tri-state area
were signing up so we immediately expanded with a second floor and
swimming pool. Once the facility expanded we decided to keep it open
year around for anyone to use. When the community had a place to play
sports year round they started to develop leagues and teams to play
indoor sports. Today we have been very successful and feel as if it’s
almost time to expand again.
Mission Statement
To provide a safe and fun environment while children, ages 6-16, from
surrounding communities come improve their athletic skills. This will be
achieved with a positive and professional atmosphere where the children’s
skills will be reinforced by some of the top coaches and counselors in the
country. This camp will allow the children to build their athletic skills in
the sport of their choice as well as give them the opportunity to choose
other sports in which they would love to learn. Each camper will be treated
equally based on their skill level in the sport; we have programs for
everyone from beginners to the more advanced athletes.
