Sponsorship Opportunitiesat the Brandywine Zoo

Thank you for considering asponsorship at the Brandywine Zoo.Your support of the Zoo helps us to continue to sustain and advance ourEducation and Conservation programs.There are several sponsorship levelsavailable for consideration, each withits own special benefits. Dependingupon the level, sponsorships may betailored to meet specific objectives. All sponsorships are donations to theDelaware Zoological Society and arefully tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Three levels of sponsorship are avail-able at this time: $5,000, $10,000 and$20,000. Descriptions and associatedbenefits are listed below.

$5,000 SPONSORSHIP LEVELFor $5,000, one can sponsor an event, an educational experience or one of the rotating on-site exhibits. Sponsorships of some events are per day; others are per event or by the season. Please ask for detailed information on sponsoring one of the specific events listed below.

EventsThe Brandywine Zoo has a variety of events held throughout theyear. These events offer sponsors opportunities to gain visibilityamong consumers of every age.

Special Event Days - $5,000/dayThese events are held in conjunction with specific holidays or timesof the year and include activities that relate to the holiday or fea-tured topic.

Scout Day (March, November)Morning programs geared specifically for Boy and Girl Scouts and their families.

Earth Day (April)A full day of Earth Day-related activities and learning experiencesdesigned to help raise awareness of our fragile planet.

Migratory Bird Day (May)Free-flight bird demonstrations celebrate International MigratoryBird Day along with bird-focused activities, games and learning.

Mother’s, Father’s Days (May, June) Zoo activities and events designed to recognize Mom and Dad on their special days.

Red, White & Zoo (near the 4th of July)A patriotic day at the Zoo to honor our troops and give everyone a chance to celebrate our red, white and blue.

Jungle Boogie (July)A trek through the tropical rainforest at the Zoo offers a glimpse of the beauty and wonders of the jungle.

Shades of Green (August)This environmentally-focused program helps participants learn how green they are; determinehow green they want to be; and discover

how they can be even greener.

Back-to-School Blast(August)A Zoo day designed to help kids get a head start on the new school year with games, crafts and activities all geared toward new learning opportunities.

Zippity Zoo Days (September)A celebration of the arts featuring works of art created by the Zoo animals themselves.

Zoo Fiesta (September)A special bilingual event with the Latin American Community Center combines fiesta fun with facts about endangered species in Latin American countries.

Halloween “Boo at the Zoo”( 2 Weekends in October)A merry…not scary…Halloween party at the Zoo complete with games,costumes and critters.

Noon Year’s Eve (December 31)A festive New Year’s Eve celebration that takes place at NOON! Fun for the whole family.

Featured Events - $5,000 (time period depends upon event)Special events feature outside talent that enhances the Zoo experience and furthers knowledge on specific animals and birds.They take place within a specified time frame.

Birds in Action through Animal Behavior and Conservation Connections—$5,000/week

Weekly Events—$5,000/seasonEducational events for the whole family are held year-round and arefree with admission. They give children and adults an up-close-and-personal view of wild life. > Close Encounters of the Wild Kind> Keeper Talks> Story TimeFamily Fun Nights—$5,000/night—June, July, AugustHeld three times during the summer season, Family Fun Nights are$1.00 per person and offer fun, games and special animal encoun-ters.

Benefits of Event Sponsorship at the $5,000 Level:• 25 general admission tickets valid for one year

• Opportunity for on-site self promotion during the event (subject to approval)

• Name and logo on 12’ x 2’ banner 2 weeks prior to the event

• Name and logo on Brandywine Zoo website prior to and during theevent

• Name and logo in event ad in Zoo News seasonal newsletter

• Name and logo included in z-mails to membership (1200+)

• Name and logo included in event advertisement in the News Journal and Spark

• Recognition in public relations and promotional materials prior to event

• Digital copies of ads provided to all sponsors for your use

• Scripts for radio spots provided to sponsors if desired

Educational Experiences for School GroupsThe Zoo offers several ways for sponsors to become involved with our educational programs for local students and teachers.These programs meet or exceed state standards and provide teachers with tools that can supplement and enhance classroomscience initiatives.

Title One School Programs—$5,000/grade

Sponsor one grade (grades K-12) in a Title One school to help students in these schools benefit from the Zoo’s educational science-based programs either at the Zoo or at the school through the Traveling Zoo program.

Benefits of Educational Experience Sponsorship at the $5,000 Level:• Name, logo and recognition on all program materials

during sponsorship period

• 25 general admission tickets valid for one year

• Opportunity for on-site self promotion during sponsorship period (subject to approval)

• Name and logo on the Brandywine Zoo website during sponsorship period

• Recognition in Zoo News seasonal newsletter

• Recognition in public relations and pro-motional materials during sponsorship period

On-Site ExhibitsThe Zoo has certain on-site rotating exhibits that present excellentsponsorship opportunities. When you sponsor one of these exhibits,your company’s name will be prominently displayed for a specificperiod of time.

Cool Mist Kiosk—$5,000/3 monthsOn the Zoo grounds, our popular cool mist-kiosk offers the opportu-nity for your company’s name to be seen by every visitor. You caneven customize a portion of the display area with your own brandmessage. One side of the kiosk is available for sponsorship.

Benefits of On-Site Exhibit Sponsorship at the $5,000 Level:• Name, logo and brief message on the exhibit for 3 months

• 25 general admission tickets valid for one year

• Name and logo on the Brandywine Zoo website during sponsorship period

• Recognition in Zoo News seasonal newsletter

• Recognition in promotional materials issued during sponsorship period

$10,000 SPONSORSHIP LEVELSponsorships at this level include special programs such as summer,holiday or day camps; member programs; or education/conservationexperiences.

Zoo CampsWhether they attend a full summer session or an abbreviated holi-day camp, children enjoy learning about animals, zoos, and wildlifeconservation! Sponsorship of one of these camps earns you andyour company prominent visibility and, at the same time, helps theZoo sustain and enhance these important programs.

Camps—$10,000/season Summer Zoo camps run for a full week all summer long while theHoliday and Day Camps are offered at holidays or times whenschool is not in session. Holiday and Day Camp sponsorships can becustomized dependent upon sponsor interest.> Zoo Camps (full or half-day)> Holiday and Day Camps

Membership Appreciation An opportunity to join with the Zoo to recognize our membership.These events are designed to honor and thank our members for theirongoing interest and support of the Zoo and its programs. Sponsor-ship of one of these events gives you broad visibility across a di-verse audience.

Members Only Events—$10,000/eventThese events are held two or three times a year in the evening andfeature food, beverages and animal encounters.

Education/Conservation ProgramsMany of the Zoo’s education and conservation programs are available for sponsorship. When you sponsor one of these important programs, you also support the Zoo’s primary mission. We are happy to provide more in-depth details on these opportunities.

Education Experiences—$10,000/school district grade. By sponsoring a grade (grades K-12) within an entire school district, you offer the schools within a specific district the option of enrolling students in one of our on-site education/conservation programs or bringing the Zoo to the schools through our Traveling Zoo.

Benefits of Sponsorship at the $10,000 Level:• 50 general admission tickets valid for one year

• Name on on-site “Sponsor Recognition” board

• Invitation to all members-only events

• Opportunity for on-site self promotion for one month during sponsorship period (subject to approval)

• Name and logo included on relevant program promotional materials

• Name and logo included on on-site signage associated with program or event

• Name and logo included on Brandywine Zoo website in association with program or event

• Name, logo and mention included in Zoo News seasonal newsletter

• Name and logo included in z-mails sent to members about programs or events

• Recognition in publicrelations and associated promotional materials

Promotional MaterialsThe Brandywine Zoo distributes Zoo News seasonally to its member-ship. This translates to a circulation of 3,000+ with each mailing. Atthe same time, we purchase six billboards twice a year at strategicrotating locations throughout the greater Wilmington area. Theseare seen by hundreds of thousands of motorists every day. Under-writing these materials would give your company visibility across adiverse audience.

Benefits of Promotional Materials Sponsorship at the $20,000 Level:•75 general admission tickets valid for one year

• Invitation to all members-only events

• Name on on-site “Sponsor Recognition” board

• Special “behind-the-scenes” tour of Zoo for a specified number ofemployees and/or family members

• Opportunity for on-site self promotion for one year (subject to approval)

• Name and logo on each issue of Zoo News or each billboard

• Recognition on the Brandywine Zoo website

• Recognition in public relations and other promotional materials

Paid AdvertisingThe Zoo advertises in the local media on a regular basis. Sponsorship of paid advertising at this level will help defray our media costs and, at the same time, give your company high visibility all year long.

Benefits of Advertising Sponsorship at the $20,000 Level:• 75 general admission tickets valid for one year

• Invitation to all members-only events

• Name on on-site “Sponsor Recognition” board

• Special “behind-the-scenes” tour of Zoo for a specified number of employees and/or family members

• Opportunity for on-site self promotion for one year (subject to approval)

• Name and logo in each ad

• Recognition on the Brandywine Zoo website

• Recognition in public relations/promotional materials

IN-KIND SPONSORSHIPSThe Zoo welcomes offers of in-kind sponsorships that would provide goods and/or services to help defray Zoo operating costs. These opportunities are considered on a case-by-case basis. Benefits are determined by the level of goods and services provided.

FUNDRAISING EVENTSSponsorship of a fundraising event is another great way to connectyour name or brand with the Brandywine Zoo membership and thecommunity at large. The Delaware Zoological Society periodicallyhosts these events and there are a variety of ways to offer support.

Brew at the Zoo...and Wine Too—$5,000/eventThis adults-only annual event features craft beer, ale and winealong with a variety of bar food specialties. It is held in Septembereach year and has earned recognition as a ‘must do’ Fall event.Sponsors receive all of the benefits listed in the “$5,000 Sponsor-ship Level”.
