The most important part of the whole story is the resurrection. The very first part of Genesis, the creation, leads to the wonderful point of the resurrection, the Christ within coming into fulfillment, to expression within us.

Jesus is part of an infinite moment which happened all those years ago and is right now. Jesus is the most wonderful teacher who did everything he could to awaken us to who we are - this beautiful Truth that God/Spirit in expression is us in our deepest, truest self.

The resurrection is just not at that last breath in our life, it is right now. It is to awaken each day, to remove ourselves from the flesh and to be born into the dawn of the Omnipresence of our Creator. Each day we can have this experience or several times a day over and over again. We can resurrect several times a day if need be.

Jesus, the great wayshower, needed to leave. We could not have awakened to the Holy Spirit if we just had Jesus staying. He would then have become nothing more than another god to worship, to beg mercy to. He came and left to awaken us to the Christ within. There cannot be more God. God is already complete and infinite and has been forever within us. We cannot expect more but we can awaken and become more. As Jesus said, ‘Know ye, that ye are God.’ We are created in God’s image and likeness, not in the flesh but in our soul.

We are not so big in this world. We are but a tiny speck of this great universe. Yet there is that infinite Christ flowing through us. Christ is Spirit. We each are born into this flesh with Spirit, conscious, aware and able to grow more and more through Christ.

The beauty of Easter, the resurrection, is the greatest lesson to be taught. For now we can move beyond, to our highest consciousness with no separation, no duality. Know the Truth and it shall set you free. Rejoice in Christ thought.

Originally from New Jersey, Walt grew up in a predominately Catholic neighborhood and regularly attended church. He served as a Page in the U.S. House of Representatives and finished high school in D.C. Then it was off to Hawaii for college where Walt was exposed to fundamentalist Christianity. There he felt the call to ministry but conflicts with this theology led to his leaving the seminary and spiritual involvement for several years. Walt later connected with the Episcopal Church for several years but it was his move to south Florida and Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale that brought Walt to his Truth.

On this long spiritual journey which is still unfolding, Walt found his true sacred home at Sunshine Cathedral. It was here that he was first exposed to New Thought and specifically Divine Science. Walt began to understand the implications of Omnipresence and the pieces finally started to fit together for him. The realization that each one of us is an individualized express of our Creator and ‘ever One with this Perfect Life, Perfect Love and Perfect Substance” has had a profound impact on Walt’s daily life. He returned to seminary after 35 years and was ordained in Metropolitan Community Church. Just two years later he was also ordained a Divine Science Minister.

Late last year Walt returned to beautiful Hawaii and is employed as a Spiritual and Bereavement Coordinator with Kaua’i Hospice. His ministry has included regularly facilitating DSFI’s Spiritual Call-in during 2017. It was his privilege to lead the recent book study of Studies in Divine Science by Mrs. C. L. Baum. To quote her “As you meditate on the eternal Truth, that the Infinite Spirit of Love and Life is the reality of the universe, the result will be that you will learn to commune with the Omnipresence, learn to lean upon it, learn to trust it. For in the One that includes all, there is an eye that never sleeps, an ear that always hears. Let yourself feel the companionship of Love, work within yourself to feel the comradeship with the All-good, not afar off, but here, within you.”

Spirit in Action, Mar/Apr 2018 Page 3

Spring is a constantly recurring miracle. It is as though the Infinite Spirit of Life whispered, “Walk softly and you will see it this time. You will understand its meaning. Walk softly and remember Fall and Winter are not symbols of death, but of sleeping, a cycle of rest. Spring is an awakening from sleep and is a new birth.”

Everywhere that the eye turns we see the giving of life – lavish, abundant, outpouring – in the leafing trees and shrubs, the tender blades of grass and the tiny buds forming on branches where the sap stirs again. Effortlessly, without hurry or struggle, nature gives expression to the steady rhythm of the Divine.

What of us, created in the image and likeness of the Spirit of Life? Are we in harmony with this ever renewing perfection? Instead of claiming our birthright, we often attempt to dominate. We often cling to the mistakes of the past, forgetting that our Source is forever creating us upright, free, unfettered and complete. In our bewilderment of our human-ness we can lose sight of our Truth.

Though hardly a day passes which offers clues, which if thought about, reveal a way to the liberating truth about us and our permanent identity. Now after infinite cycles of unfoldment a whisper can be heard through the earth, a stirring whisper which says softly but with insistence, “Wake up, you have slept long enough now! Hear what I am telling you! I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.”

Spring can be our great awakening; a new perception of age-old Truth lighting the world, dispelling the dark. A mighty change arises from the far corners of the turning earth this Spring. The

Divine, our Creator, our Infinite Spirit of Life says, “I Am,” so we can awaken.
