Learning is a complex phenomena so with learning second language and foreign language. Language is primarily a tool of communication. Learning a language means learning to perform communicative speech acts with it.

Don’t say: I think that is a bad idea. Say: I don’t think that is such a good idea.
Avoid ‘finger pointing’ statement with the word ‘you’. Try to avoid saying ‘you’ and put the focus on “I” or We”……..
