“The members of the Security Council heard a brieng on the situation ofSouth Sudan by USG Ladsous. The members of the Security Council welcomed both parties ability tomake the necessary decisions and allow for iek !achar"s return# and

subse$uent swearing in as %irst &ice 'resident of South Sudan# andstrongly urged all parties to $uickly form the transitional go(ernment andfully implement the peace agreement# to reali)e lasting peace#reconciliation and nation rebuilding of South Sudan. The members of the Security Council e*pressed their appreciation for thework of former 'residents !ogae and +onare. The members of the Security Council noted that there is much work to bedone to bring peace and stability to South Sudan. The members of the Security Council demanded the parties to complywith their obligations under ,nternational -umanitarian Law and respecthuman rights. The members of the Security Council e*pressed their alarm at the direhumanitarian situation and demanded the parties facilitate humanitarianaccess as well as allow freedom of mo(ement of U personnel to carryout their duties. The members of the Security Council reiterated their full support to
