    Brief History:

    Target Group: all children aged 8-18 who like Sour Patch Kids

    Sour Patch Kids once called Mars Men started in the 1970s. The Mars Men Candy was motivated by the UFO sightings throughout that decade. In the 1980s the name changed to Sour Patch Kids which was inspired by the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls that were popular during the 80s.

    The Plan

  • Big IdeaThe big idea is to create a box that looks like the candy is in a coffin shaped box. The box with look like the box is breaking in specific spots on top to see the shape of the candy. The box will look 3D and enticing for the buyer to spend money on the candy around the Halloween holiday. To increase sales the box will be made to stand out from all other candy. It will catch the buyers eye. This is for a special Halloween edition.

    The logo is part of the branding to the company. The logo should be in color unless special instances. The logo should be placed at the most convienent position on the printed packaging. Due to the Holiday editions of the product position will be a case by case placement. The logo on the original packaging should be placed in the middle of the packaging.
