Background• School of Computing (SOC) was first known as School of

Information Technology (SIT). It was established in 1st Mac 1990.

• In September 2003, it was renamed to Faculty of Information Technology (FIT).

• The school was restructured into two different schools namely School of Computing (SOC), and School of Multimedia Technology and Communication (MMTC) on 1st

July 2011.
