6. Marine Waste Management by Marine Meat Agar from Marine waste-collection of marine waste from shore of Mumbai (dead

fish, shrimp, crab etc.) was cleaned. Meat Agar prepared and marine isolates grown on meat agar with glucose as source of carbon

7. Chitinase Producing Organisms-shells of dead marine animals were collected and chitin was purified by using concentrated HCl.

The growth of marine organisms on chitin agar was compared to that on pure practical grade chitin. Efficient isolates were obtained

by measuring the diameter of clearance zone formed as a result of chitinase production by marine organisms.
