STORY

Caught in the busy schedules of life, it’s very

common for all of us to fling our dirty clothes to the

laundry basket and then forget all about it until we

need them again, could be because we had to wait

for a weekend to come when we thought of sparing

time for laundry and finally left out of track. The

situation could be more tough when it comes to

monitoring and dealing with multiple laundry bags,

like in a family.

My friends and I have always wondered if there could

be an intelligent laundry system with equipped load

sensors in the laundry basket that could sense the

load and remind us when the basket is full, enabling

us to directly schedule pick-ups and get our laundry

done, thus reducing cognitive load. We wanted to

view the laundry basket status, get a notification

when the basket is full , schedule pick up when the

basket is full or when it reach a threshold limit, view

the status of the order post the pick-up and also

cancel a scheduled pick-up if needed.
