Burgundy canal and onto the small country lanes that sweep
through the countryside.
Stroll around the medieval city of Semur-en-Auxois, a town
of undiminished character that has remained intact over the
centuries. Tea-time break, enjoy some local pastries with a
spectacular view of the city’s ramparts.
Visit the Abbaye de Fontenay (12th century) listed as a
UNESCO world heritage site.
Drop into Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, labelled as one of « the
most beautiful villages in France », where they filmed
« Chocolat ». Have a gourmet break at the famous « Flavigny
aniseed » factory (depending on opening times).
