Vineyards situationThe commune of Savigny les Beaune is located above between Aloxe Corton andPernand Vergelesses, in the north of the Côte de Beaune.

CharacteristicsSavigny produces exclusively red wines (90%) under the village and premier cruappellations. The vineyard has south, south-east, east and north-east exposure and is situatedbetween 220 and 360m. The chalk soil is gravely or stony, light and infertile."Les Lavières" lies near the commune of Pernand , bordering Les Vergelessesvineyard.

Wine makingThe fermentation takes vats during 3-4 weeks, after which they are aged inwooden barrels for an average of 12-15 months before being bottled.

Winemaker's comments / GastronomyMaison Louis Jadot produces a red Savigny les Beaune of medium-deep colour.The bouquet is elegant, feminine, with little red fruits aromas and hints ofspices. Supple, nicely tannic, it has a fine structure.

This wine will be perfect with any light dishes, red or white meat. It will beperfect, for example, with a roasted lamb and its new vegetables.

PreservationThis wine will certainly improve up to 8-12 years in good cellaring conditions(humidity and temperature).
