Characteristics Savigny produces exclusively red wines (90%) under the village and premier cru appellations. The vineyard has south, south-east, east and north-east exposure and is situated between 220 and 360m. The chalk soil is gravely or stony, light and infertile. "Les Lavières" lies near the commune of Pernand , bordering Les Vergelesses vineyard. Wine making The fermentation takes vats during 3-4 weeks, after which they are aged in wooden barrels for an average of 12-15 months before being bottled. Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy Maison Louis Jadot produces a red Savigny les Beaune of medium-deep colour. The bouquet is elegant, feminine, with little red fruits aromas and hints of spices. Supple, nicely tannic, it has a fine structure. This wine will be perfect with any light dishes, red or white meat. It will be perfect, for example, with a roasted lamb and its new vegetables. Preservation This wine will certainly improve up to 8-12 years in good cellaring conditions (humidity and temperature).
