Hymns of Praise are arrangements of well-known hymns for choir, congregation, organ, and an optional descant instrument. The music in this series gives choir and congregation opportunity to sing together, enlivening worship and creating community through some of our most treasured hymns. Please join us as we work to revive, celebrate, and enjoy the beauty of sacred music. The inaugural work, “Sing, Ye Faithful”, (Tune: Finnian), set for SATB Choir, Congregation, Organ and Optional Trumpet by Robert Lau, was chosen because its text captures the essence of this series and speaks to the heart of our mission. Robert Lau Robert Lau holds a B.S. in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College, an M.A. in Theory from Eastman School of Music and Ph.D. in Musicology from The Catholic University of America. Dr. Lau was a member of the faculty of Lebanon Valley College where he taught music theory and chaired the Music Department. He also served as Adjunct Professor at Penn State Harrisburg where he taught in the School of Humanities. Dr. Lau is the Organist/Choirmaster at Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church in Camp Hill, PA, a position he has held for more than 25 years. He also teaches violin, viola and composition privately. He has more than 250 choral and keyboard works published by the leading music publishing companies of the United States, and has been commis- sioned to write choral, keyboard and vocal works for a variety of institutions, churches and individuals. He is a consistent winner of Special Awards from ASCAP for his pub- lished choral and keyboard works. Dr. Lau is a former Music Director of the Harrisburg Choral Society and former Artistic Director of Jubilate! Choral Ensemble of Gettysburg, PA. Robert Lau

Robert Lau holds a B.S. in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College, an M.A. in Theory from Eastman School of Music and Ph.D. in Musicology from The Catholic University of America.
