Simon Wheatley’s work I feel is very relevant to my ideasAnd the genre of our opening. The character, ‘Steeze’ in which Our film is based around can be seen in the images by Wheatley That tell of urban personas and attitude.

His stills have a potent energy that would work well embedded in moving image

Within the frame of this image there is a very romantic use of lighting. The setting in which the photo has been taken is highly urban, the engraved texture of writing and graffiti are immediate connotations of the urban environment and is perhaps something we should consider when looking at locations

There is something quite emotional within the subjects face, within our own use of stills this is something we can re create for effect and storyline
