WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE! JUNE 24 2015

Last night our NY Chapter kicked off a brand new series of Member–Only events with our first Open-House Tour at Silman (www.silman.com). It was, without a doubt, one of our most interactive, educational AND fun events we’ve had in a while!

Our ‘stroll’ through the office was much like a stroll through the mind of the Silman design team, as we learned what went into the thought process for the layout, placement, room naming and even lighting of the office. We all know how stressful our industry can be! Silman has truly taken the employee into consideration and has built an environment that allows for mind ‘decompression’.

We ended our evening over a glass (or two) of wine and some round-table discussion on member involvement as well as our Chapter’s upcoming events, programs, and tours!

On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank those who attended and especially Ellen Blumenthal and Mike Jones of Silman for their wonderful hospitality and taking on the role of our tour guides. Your energy and input was what made this a success!

I’ve included a few pictures from last night; some of the highlighted areas that truly made an impression on me. I’m sure you’ll feel the same!
