PROJECT DESCRIPTIONConstruction on this luxury hotel, located on the exclusive Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, was put on hold in 2011, with work restarting in 2014.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTSDue to new modifications and increased live loads accordingly, the concrete columns were affected. The specifier required an increase in the efficiency and capacity of the concrete elements, as well protecting them with a fire proof material.

SIKA SOLUTION Sika was able to offer the client both the ideal systems in SikaWrap® and Sika® CarboDur® and the necessary technical advice and training, as well as timely delivery. Sika provided complete support to the applicator and trained their staff in the use of the products and oversaw the on-site application.
