Freeborn County and the City of Albert Lea collaborated on this project and have hired SRF Consulting Group to provide construction oversight. Construction activity completed this week: • Began installation of Sanitary and Watermain from Sheridan to the north. • Removed old retaining walls and excavated for new block retaining walls along Bridge Avenue. Construction activity for next week will be the following: • Prepare for concrete curb and sidewalk at the Marshall intersection. • Continue Sanitary & Watermain work north of Sheridan. Safety is always our highest concern during construction of these types of projects: • Please slow down through construction zone for the safety of others, and the workers on site, as well as your own safety. Avoid using a cellular phone when walking or driving near a construction zone. • Please stay clear of machinery and construction trenches in the work zone. Construction vehicles can move quickly and suddenly. Staying alert to your surroundings reduces the likelihood of an incident. • In addition, your assistance in directing your children away from construction areas is appreciated. Thank you for your consideration and patience.
