FLEXIBLE

HiMoNN provides a communication solution, also for scenes without pre-installed infrastructure

HiMoNN optimises the communication solution dynamically, also for mobile users

BROAD-BAND

HiMoNN allows data transmission rates of up to 28 Mbit/s (version 3.x) and/or 6.5 Mbit/s (version 2.x) between individual HiMoNN nodes

HiMoNN provides suffi cient throughput for applications such as audio, video and data transmissions

WIDE-AREA

The average range between two HiMoNN devices is 2 km The HiMoNN relay feature allows the transmission over even higher distances

With line-of-sight application and use of appropriate antennas, ranges of over 15 km are possible

SECURE

HiMoNN ensures the confi dentiality, integrity and authenticity of the transmitted data at all times

HiMoNN uses powerful, offi cially approved security mechanisms (in accordance with BSI guidelines)

VERSATILE

HiMoNN is user-friendly. It can be installed fast and used intuitively. Users can concentrate on their actual tasks from the very beginning.

HiMoNN connects conventional end-user devices such as laptops, PDAs, smart phones, video cameras. The user works in his well-known IT environment.

HiMoNN supports numerous applications such as audio, video and data transmissions and is therefore suited for a variety of operation scenarios.

HiMoNN is economic due to its high range (reduced number of required communication nodes), the operation without infrastructure and the usability of conventional end-user devices.

HiMoNN can easily be connected to a Wide Area Network via gateway. This allows the real-time data exchange between operation site and remote databases or control centres.

HiMoNN is robust. Its extended temperature range as well as its insensitivity against dust and splashing water guarantees ideal suitability, also under most adverse environmental conditions.

Substitute solution for destroyed and impaired communication infrastructures, e. g., cellular radio, TETRA, land lines

Fire-brigades“When deployed on the premises, HiMoNN guarantees the mobile and fast access to central databases providing relevant information at any time. The task forces on-site are thus optimally supplied with the necessary information and – on their part – submit current task-related information back into the database. Via directed radio link, even operation sites located more than 15 km away, can be connected to the broad-band network.“Rainer Sollinger, fi re-brigade training centre Geretsried, former Head of IT with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) fi re-brigade • The fi re-brigade of the TUM uses HiMoNN for broad-band data communi-cation on its premises in Garching and Weihenstephan.

Police forces“HiMoNN ensures the autonomous broad-band communication of the operation site as well as its connection to the police network. During the motorcycle Grand Prix at the Sachsenring, HiMoNN was used for the voice communication (VoIP), as well as for additional police applications. Compared to other radio technologies, the network can be set up fast, easily and economically. In addition, HiMoNN operates in a broad-band communication frequency band harmonized on a European level for public safety authorities and organisations and is therefore not impaired or congested by other users.“Wilfried Baum, Head of Saxonia’s police training and reference centre • The Saxonian police forces use HiMoNN – among other things – for the secure broad-band communication in special operation and mass events.

“HiMoNN offers an autonomous broad-band communication solution independent of existing infrastructures. With HiMoNN, an indoor radio communication system can, for example, be connected to mobile command vehicles fast and easily. Task forces can thus securely communicate with each other in and outside of buildings. In addition to mere voice communication, other applications can use the HiMoNN network on the respective operation site due to HiMoNN’s broad-band feature and its open system architecture.“The fi re-brigade Hagen uses HiMoNN – among other purposes – for the fl exible and secure connection of indoor radio communication systems with mobile command vehicles as well as for the networking and connection of operation sites and control centres.

Emergency services“HiMoNN is an optimal solution for areas without infrastructure (internet, telephone, portable radio) or were infrastructure has been destroyed, impaired or is no longer reliably available. Here, HiMoNN can be set up easily and fast, also by technically inexperienced personnel and provides considerable data rates. After a short briefi ng, the deployment, confi guration, as well as the operation of the system, turned out to be completely uncomplicated and problem-free.“ Stefan Simon, Deputy Head of Operations with Malteser Emergency Services at the Summerbreeze open air • The Malteser Emergency Services in Würzburg used HiMoNN in the context of the Summerbreeze open air to network their distributed LUMIS application for resource organisation, operation documenta-tion (event log), accounting (reporting forms) as well as for the situation overview of their forces.
