Science Concept/Idea: Various animals live and survive in different environments. The body covering of animals in the tropics is not thick. They come in a vas Iety of colors that blends with their surroundings. Polar animals like the bear have body structure that enables them to live and reproduce in this cold environment. Desert animals can withstand high temperature. They can go without water or food for a longer period of time than others. An animal which can travel only under the heat of the sun in a desert is the camel. Animals that live in cold places have layers of fats and feathers or hair to keep their body warm. C.Concept Formation:a. How do bears adapt in very cold place? How do they get their food?b. The pupils will group the animals in the pictures according to the environment where they live, how they survive and protect themselves from their enemies.
