Teaching and Learning:

To continue to improve the quality of teaching and learning, particularly in EYFS and KS1.

To ensure that all teaching is consistently good, with much outstanding.

Provide a broad and balanced curriculum which promotes a thirst for knowledge and love for learning, engages and motivates children, promotes core British values, and helps to prepare young people for life in Modern Britain.

Achievement: To raise pupil achievement in mathematics across all

age groups, ensuring that all children meet end of year objectives with some exceeding expectations, and that the level of challenge is appropriate for all children.

To ensure that all children meet end of year objectives in reading and writing, with some exceeding year group expectations.

To increase achievement and enjoyment in reading through the development of a positive reading culture.

To ensure that all groups of children, including disadvantaged children and those with SEN, achieve in line with their peers, ensuring that the level of challenge must be appropriate for all children.

Behaviour & Safety: To ensure that all children conduct themselves

well at different times of day, including lunchtime. Ensure that skilled and highly consistent

behaviour management by all staff makes a strong contribution to an exceptionally positive climate for learning.

Increased health and well-being through the development of outdoor provision and healthy eating.

Leadership and Management: To ensure that teaching is consistently good

and improving as a result of accurate monitoring, effective performance management and professional development, which are closely matched to the needs of the school and staff.

To complete a staffing restructure in order to ensure that all staff have specific roles, undergo appraisal and provide positive outcomes for children.

To increase opportunities to promote links with parents and promote both parent and pupil voice throughout school.

Rewards and SanctionsChildren are awarded praise points which are recorded on individual cards. At each milestone children can choose to ‘bank’ their points or trade them in for a reward.

• 50, 150, 250, and 350 points ~ postcard home

• 100 points ~ bronze badge and certificate + prize or ‘bank’

• 200 points ~ silver badge and certificate + prize or ‘bank’

• 300 points ~ gold badge and certificate + prize or ‘bank’

• 400 points ~ diamond badge and certificate + prize or ‘bank’

• Each Friday, children are awarded an extra 2 praise points if they have been in school each day and on time.

• On the last Friday of each month, during celebration assembly, children who have reached one of the milestones will be presented with their postcard or certificate.
