The MSCPA annually recognizes a full-time accounting educator at a college or university who has demonstrated excellence in a classroom teaching, motivating students and inspiring educational innovation. Congratulations to Charlene Spiceland, PhD, CPA, CMA of Simmons University for being selected as the 2021 Outstanding Educator of the Year recipient!

The Elijah Watt Sells award is bestowed upon candidates who completed testing during the 2020 calendar year and passed all four sections of the Exam on their first attempt with a cumulative average score above 95.50. Nearly 75,000 individuals sat for the Exam in 2020, with 89 candidates meeting the criteria to receive the Elijah Watt Sells Award. We are pleased to announce that three of the award winners were registered as candidates from Massachusetts, and are now employed in Massachusetts. Congratulations to our Massachusetts winners!
