    Cr Jan Grew, Councillor for Division 11 of the Gold Coast will officially open the Expo. Tom Tait, the Mayor of the Gold Coast will officially welcome the Gala Dinner Guests. The Queensland Premier will officially welcome the Conference Lunch. The Australian Prime Minister (after the 7 September election) will be special guest

    speaker at the Small Business Conference.

    THE EXPO FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 11AM-4PM:

    The Expo is being held on Friday, 22 November and will open between 10am and 4pm to the

    general public.

    The Sports Hall at Bond University will become alive with 104 exhibitors not only showcasing

    but selling the very latest in goods and services to the small business owner and to those who

    are thinking of going into business.

    THE GALA DINNER FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 7PM for 7.30PM TILL 11PM:

    The Gala dinner will feature two important events that will feature the prestigious $40,000

    cash prize to a deserving individual or organisation recognising the contribution towards the

    small business sector.

    This lucrative prize is kindly donated by our Patron of Small Business Association of Australia,

    Mrs Gina Rinehart who is a firm believer and supporter of small business.

    This award will also feature the inaugural RINEHART LECTURE.

    This memorable nights entertainment will feature Daniel Mallari.

    THE CONFERENCE SATURDAY 23 NOVEMBER 11AM TO 4PM:

    The Small Business Conference is the first ever held in Australia for the grass roots small

    business owner. The programme will commence first with a lunch and special guest speaker.

    This will be followed by the opening of the Conference with a number of presenters.

    WORKSHOPS FRIDAY 22 11AM TO 4PM:

    Numerous workshops are being held that will cover a variety of topics. These workshops will

    be suitable for either those thinking of going into small business or those who are already in

    business.

    GUEST SPEAKERS:

    Guest speakers, presenters, workshops and topics will be listed approximately late September

    2013.

    EXHIBITION FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2013 10AM TO 4PM

    TERMS & CONDITIONS EXHIBITORS

    NO: PARTICULARS

    1. Booking including preferred booth & location is on a first in basis.

    2. Exhibition booth is confirmed only once full payment is received.

    3. Every endeavour will be made to secure exhibitors preferred booth & location.

    Should the first preference be sold, the second or third choice will be allocated.

    4. Sharing of a booth/table is allowable. If exhibitors are sharing a booth/table, a

    separate booking form is required for each business.

    5. Industry exclusivity is only available to Diamond and Pearl sponsors.

    6. Exhibition Times open to the public 11am to 4pm Friday 22 November, 2013.

    7. Exhibitor Bump In from 7am with exhibitor booths to be finalised by 10.30am. Once

    an exhibitor is confirmed the exhibitor will be advised by return mail the bump in

    time. The venue has only one lift and stairs therefore times allocated will need to be

    strictly adhered to. If a trolley is required an exhibitor can either bring their own or

    book one through the exhibition builder.

    8. Venue is the Sports Hall at Bond University, Robina Gold Coast see map. Parking is

    only allowed during unloading. Once completed, staff will show exhibitors where

    suitable car parking is available.

    9. Free admission to the general public.

    10. Free car parking available for exhibitors and the general public.

    11. Exhibitor signage other than within the exhibitors booth is not permitted within the

    Exhibition Hall unless approved by Small Business Association of Australia.

    12. There is no dismantling of exhibition booths prior to close of the exhibition at 4pm.

    13. All exhibitors must register at the Information desk at the entrance to the Sports Hall.

    Upon registration each exhibitor will receive two lunch packs per booth/table plus

    tea and coffee as part of the package throughout the day that will be located on

    the stage. Due to the early set up required for some exhibitors, a networking

    breakfast will be available inside the Exhibition hall. Additional food, tea, coffee,

    water, soft drink and alcohol will be available at additional cost for exhibitors guests

    and the general public.

    14. Exhibitors may sell their goods and services at the Expo and retain 100% of sales. The

    selling/promotion of exhibitors goods, services and products is allowed only within

    the Exhibitors booth.

    15. All deliveries of each exhibitor is the responsibility of the Exhibitor.

    16. The M.O.T Club is supported by Small Business Association of Australia and will be

    selling raffle tickets for their charity. No other organisation/individual/group is

    allowed to sell raffle tickets at the Expo on the day.

    17. Exhibitors need to supply their own furniture, fixtures and fittings other than what is

    included in the exhibitor package. Exhibitors can bring their own trolley or book one

    through the Exhibition builder.

    18. Whilst the venue will be cleaned prior and after the Expo, all exhibitors are

    responsible for cleaning within their own booth/area.

    19. The Expo will be held regardless of weather conditions as the Expo is being held

    indoors.

    26. Should circumstances arise, the Organiser reserves the right to amend theprogramme without notice.

    20. All exhibitors must carry their own Public Liability cover. A current Certificate of

    Currency is required at the time of booking. No exhibitor will be allowed to exhibitor

    is a Certificate of Currency cannot be provided to the Event Organisers.

    21. All exhibitors are responsible for their own security and therefore the Organisers will

    not be held liable for theft, loss or damage caused to an exhibitors property.

    22. No pets allowed inside the Exhibition hall.

    23. No smoking is allowed inside the Exhibition hall.

    25. There are ATMs within the Bond University Campus however, it is recommended

    that exhibitors ensure they have sufficient cash.

    EXHIBITOR TIPS TO MAKE YOUR EXPO SUCCESFUL

    NO: PARTICULARS

    1. As an exhibitor you have seconds to make an impression, so please make your

    booth/table interesting and inviting. Think outside the square and try using high tech.

    For example why not give short talks around your booth during the day withhandouts everyone loves receiving free giveaways. For example one of the most

    interesting displays I have seen was by an eye specialist who gave away small

    brown bags full of vegetables and fruit that are good eye foods. He ensured that his

    business name and details were printed on the brown bags. I can tell you that

    everyone who visited his stand remembers his business.

    2. Offer specials either on your services, goods or products. Do business INCLUDING

    doing business with other exhibitors.

    3. We will have a roving MC so your specials will be promoted during the Expo

    therefore, think about giving out specials that may include your goods, services or

    products or even prizes during the day.

    4. Make sure you collect business cards from attendees and other exhibitors. These

    contacts can form part of your data base and future business dealings. After the

    Expo, make contact and follow through.

    5. Make sure you introduce yourself to other exhibitors as these are potential customers

    they can recommend and do business with you.

    6. We will do our part to promote this important event, but we ask that you assist by

    advising your data base of customers about the Expo and other related events

    see Programme Guide. You can promote this event via:

    Email.

    Direct Mail.

    Social Media e.g. Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn.

    List this event on your website.

    If your display is newsworthy, mention this event including your attendance.

    If you are advertising, list this event including your attendance.
