PPA hosted our 10th Annual Parking Innovation Awards Banquet, a highlight of the conference each year. Traditionally on Thursday night, we gather for cocktails, dinner, and the presentation of award winners! The program recognizes leaders in the parking industry for their creativity in design and innovation. The competition draws a good turn-out of submissions from around the country, completed by firms in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Award of Excellence Winners are highlighted to the left, along with the entries for each category.

Parking Innovation Awards Banquet Fender Bender Open

The annual Fender Bender Open brought golfers together on Wednesday morning at the Elks Country Club just outside of State College. After this year’s friendly competition, we will begin an investigation into the High Concrete team, which has won consecutively for years. If anyone has information on this investigation, please let us know!

The winning team this year consisted of Jamie Sweigart (High Concrete), AJ Sassaman (High Concrete), Jim Fenstermacher (Whiting Turner), and Adrienne Fessler (TimHaahs). We know it was not Adrienne carrying the team, as it was her 2nd time golfing. And yet they still managed to “win”. They’re looking forward to someone challenging their championship once again in the fall!
