Nepal Healthcare Camp & ‘Sai Hrudayam- Connecting Hearts’

Dear brothers and sisters, 25.11.2016 Om Sri Sai Ram. It is our greatest good fortune that our dear Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, has touched and transformed our lives in this lifetime. He has done this by lighting the lamp of divine love in our hearts, and by encouraging us to journey on the path of selfless service to fellow beings. It is in this Sai spirit of love and service, that I am delighted to announce two upcoming Service opportunities to be offered as our collective gratitude at Swami’s Divine Lotus Feet.

1. Nepal Healthcare Camp, 13th -21st March 2017 2. ‘Sai Hrudayam’- Connecting Hearts

Nepal Healthcare Camp Since the major earthquakes in Nepal last year, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts by SSIO Nepal have been progressing well, with the loving support from Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation and the global Sai family. http://sathyasaihumanitarianrelief.org/updates/2016/11/relief-updates-from-nepal/ The Healthcare Camp by SSIO UK in March 2017 is a part of these continuing efforts. For this camp, we are looking for professionals from all medical specialities, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, optometry, physiotherapy, dietetics/nutrition, health infomatics and medical IT. Amongst the medical specialities, there is especially a need for GPs, gynaecologists, paediatricians, orthopaedics, ENT, neurologists, cardiologists and ophthalmologists. General volunteers are welcome, especially those with special skills in building maintenance, catering, multimedia, teaching, etc. Spaces are limited and so please apply in advance.

Above all, you should enquire why a highly sophisticated and most modern hospital, which should be located in a well-developed metropolis, has been set up in this rural area. The wealthy can go anywhere and get medical relief with their abundant resources. But the rural poor cannot go far from their villages for treatment. It is for the sake of such poor folk that this Hospital has been established”. Bhagawan Baba SSS 24:28 A day after the Inauguration of the Super Specialty Hospital in Puttaparthi, 23/11/1991 As a part of the recent 91st Birthday celebrations of our beloved Swami, SSIO UK and SSS Charitable Trust in UK are delighted to offer the above initiative ‘Sai Hrudayam’- Connecting Hearts. This activity aims to provide heart valves and other relevant support, free of cost, to needy patients across the world, including the Sathya Sai Super Specialty Hospitals in India. As a first offering, and in response to the need in Nepal, 30 patients from rural areas will receive this support in close collaboration with SSIO Nepal.
