Hello and Welcome, Once again due to our fl ooding we will be selling our bulls at the Aberdeen Livestock (west barn) on March 12th. Our bulls will sell at 12:00 CST, and right after our bulls, Muldoon Angus will sell 40 head of Black Angus bulls.

The bulls are fed a growing ration of 9 lbs. of grain mixture of corn and protein pellet with grass hay. We bunk fed the bulls and this way we know each bull’s disposition and temperate. Being a small producer, we believe our cattle need to perform and work for us. We can only use and keep the best genetics so we can raise cattle that will work for your operation. This offering does that. We offer free delivery of the bulls. We have kept bulls in the past but are not sure if we will be able to due that this year with all the water. Registration:All purebred entries sell with registration certifi cates. These will be transferred to the new owners by the seller.

Liabilities:Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold. Neither the seller or livestock market or anyone connected with this sale can be responsible for accidents. Inspection & Lot Numbers:Cattle may be inspected at the sale facility from March 11th to sale time. Tag numbers in the animal’s ear will correspond with the catalog lot numbers.

Breeding Guarantee:We guarantee all bulls to be breeders although we recommend you have the bulls semen tested before turn out time. If after two tests a bull is found to be a non-breeder, we will refund purchase price. This guarantee is void if there is evidence of improper management in caring for the animal, or the bull’s to breed is due to sickness or injury which was incurred after being sold. The bull shall be returned by the purchaser or other arrangements made with us.

BW...... Birth Weight – predicts the difference, in pounds, for birth weight, and is also used in the calculation of Red Angus’ Calving Ease Direct (CED) EPD.

WW ..... Weaning Weight – predicts the difference, in pounds, for weaning weight (adjusted to age of dam and a standard 205 days of age).

YW...... Yearling Weight – predicts the expected differ-ence, in pounds, for yearling weight (adjusted to a standard 365 days of age).

Milk .... Milk – predicts the difference in maternal production of an individual animal’s daughters as expressed by the weaning weight of their calves.

TM ...... Total Maternal – predicts the rancher’s actual observation of weaning weights of calves raised by an animal’s daughters. TM EPD = Milk EPD + 1/2 (WW EPD)

ME ...... Maintenance Energy – predicts a bull’s daugh-ters that will require less feed to maintain her body weight and condition; thus increasing profi t-ability.

HPG..... Heifer Pregnancy – predicts the probability of heifers conceiving to calve at two years of age.

CEM .... Calving Ease Maternal – predicts the probability of a given animal’s daughters calving unassisted at two years of age.

STAY.... Stayability – predicts the probability that a bull’s daughters will remain in the herd until at least six years of age.

MARB .. Marbling Score – predicts differences for carcass marbling score as expressed in marbling score units. Higher marbling scores are positively correlated with higher carcass quality grades.

YG ...... Yield Grade – predicts differences in USDA Yield Grade score, and is expressed in USDA Yield Grade units.

CW...... Carcasss Weight – predicts differences in hot carcass weight and is expressed in pounds. Be-cause Red Angus’ CW EPD is a multi-trait.

REA ..... Rib Eye Area – predicts differences of carcass Rib Eye Area between the 12th and 13th rib.

FAT ..... 12th Rib Fat Thickness – predicts differences for carcass fat depth over the 12th rib, as expressed in inches.
